“I suppose we ought to go.” Kate said to break the silence. “Lord Bridgerton?”
“Your sister is braver and wiser than us both. She had the courage to act on what she sensed between us and here we are standing perfectly still, having felt it for months,” Anthony said, turning to look at her.
“What did you just say to me?” Kate asked, her voice cold enough that Anthony took a step back.
“Whose fault is this, my lord? After everything that I have done for my family, after all the times I brought up concerns to both you and Edwina, even my mother and Lady Danbury. You are going to stand here and blame me for not doing enough. You who pushed for this match repeatedly and took away my sister's chances for any other match by your courtship, engagement, and your behavior toward the Sheffields.”

I was beyond disappointed that Kate never got a chance to really speak out and tell it like it is during the season SHE was the main female lead, so I decided to write my own version to fix that. Kate finally gets her own moments and Anthony has to work a little harder to get his act together.
