"Hush, Pom-Pom," Jax cooed, eyes never leaving Caine's, even as his hands tightened, a faint crick sound from his strained teeth drawing a strangled gasp from Caine's mouth. He yanked back again, mostly on instinct, pain radiating out from the grip on his jaw, knees bracing against the floor in his efforts to escape. Jax simply watched it happen, unblinking, pressing his jaw open a little wider.
"We have some unfinished business that doesn't concern you. Don't we, song man?"
Crack.

Summary
After the events of the movie, Hypno-Potamus suddenly and inexplicably finds himself growing friendlier with the turtles he once called his enemies. As they start to get closer, his life takes a turn that he never expected for himself, but that he finds he quite likes.
Or, in simpler terms; Hypno, and by extension Warren, get the redemption arc I think they deserve, and become the Hamato children’s weird gay uncles. Prepare for a shit ton of familial bonding, identity crises, near-death experiences, and queer joy!

Fight, flight, or freeze, or even fawn – a cornered rabbit could choose any of them. And Jax is one that is constantly backed into corners. However, familiarity with terror breeds a dangerous kind of apathy: one that results in sacrificing others to those maniacal traps he himself once fell to.
Alternatively: After a particularly harrowing adventure, Jax is left shaken and unsatisfied (though he refuses to admit it). He takes this up with ringmaster Caine, to positive results. For himself at least. (Maybe not even for himself.)
