Science was a progressing, evolving matter. The truth in science was merely an assumed truth, proved by the evidence by hand, for now. Science had no closed cases. Truth was relevant.
APTX didn’t affect neurons. Day 42, in the maze he had memorized and run through 211 times, mouse No. 279 took a wrong turn.
(Ai had no controlled experiment to run; he was the only de-aged one.)
“What are you doing here?” she scolded, when she finally tracked Conan down in a park four blocks away. The streetlights only blurred the dimming dusk into shadows and shapes, and she had to squint. “Ran and the kids have been looking for you.”
He paused when he heard her. He stared at her, then past her, and her heart dropped at his blank expression.
“I don’t remember the way home,” he said. -

All of her personal memories—family and friends, painful and happy, everything—are just…gone. As if they had never existed in the first place.
Ran dully mimics the emotions she’s supposed to have about the situation, a shoddy mask over a hollow heart. There are no arms she can run to for comfort. No names she can call out to for help. No joyful memories to dull the yawning, all-consuming emptiness in her mind.
She doesn’t feel like Ran. She doesn’t even feel human. She barely exists at all. Ran feels like leftovers, the discarded remnants of a dead girl.
The doctors can call it whatever they want.
Ran calls it hell.

Summary
Conan didn't intend for Ran and Kazuha to find out his secret like this. Really, leaving his phone laying around was a mistake anyone could have made at any given time! People forgot phones at home all the time! He knew the consequences would be complicated, he was not prepared.

Summary
For as long as he's known him, Hattori Heiji has always seemed to gotten mixed up in cases with a sort of... supernatural touch. Honestly, Conan's never thought much of it- it's not as if the things that go bump in the night are actually real, and they've got countless cases behind them to prove just that.
But after getting mixed up in a strange case in Osaka and learning a disturbing secret from Heiji's past, its left Conan wondering if there's more his friend isn't telling him. So he does what any good detective would- investigate.
He's just... not sure he was ready for the answers.
