Time seemed to slow as the sound of glass shattering against a shield became apparent, the noise seeming to echo through Clown's head.
That couldn't be right though, because from what he could see his shield was on the ground and-

Summary
After what happened to Mysty, a lot of things changed around the manor. One of those being a stricter curfew. 9 o' clock sharp, they had to be in bed, and Mr. Pierce came around to check that they were. Soft "goodnight"s from the man had become routine for the staff of Whitepine, and Serapter clung to the soft whisper like a lifeline.
Sadly, that was taken as more hollow advice than order for most of them.
