' She can’t help her mind wandering though, back to a topic that’s been a frequent visitor in her mind for weeks now, relentlessly pounding against her skull.
Caine had come up to them two months prior, practically glitching with excitement, sharing that they may be able to potentially heal abstraction. He wasn’t positive, but he’d been working closely in the digital files of the Circus lately, giving himself something to do in between their regular activities. He found that the files of their lost friends still existed, but were corrupted, damaged, though fixable, if he was looking at it correctly at least. He couldn’t promise anything, but he had hope that they could actually do something.
This had caused excitement to rise within the group, eyes sparkling and discussion rampant. Voices had overlapped each other, and Pomni couldn’t help the heaviness on her chest of their most recent cast member lost lightening a bit at the positivity of the group, eyes drifting to the large circus tent he resided in most days, when he wasn’t in the aquarium with the others. '

“Who the fuck–” He opened the door, eyes flying wide as he saw Angel’s tear-streaked face, bruised shoulder and jaw, disheveled clothing, and devastated expression. “Angel, Sweetheart– What happened?” He ushered Angel into the apartment.
“I… uh…” Angel sat on the couch, staring at the floor. “I quit the club.”
Husk knelt in front of Angel to tip his face up, fingers gentle on Angel’s jaw and cheeks as he inspected his injuries. “And Val did this?”
