Summary
The sound of waves gently hitting against the beach and the smell of eggs cooking was what woke you from your sleep. Your eyes attempted to open but immediately slammed shut due to the brightness of the room. A grunt escaped your lips as you raised your hand to shield your eyes before opening them again. You groaned, slowly opening your eyes as you attempted to adjust them to the sunlight in the room. Your eyes widened as you sat up quickly, alarm shooting through you. Instantly, you were hit with a shooting pain going down your front, forcing you to fall back against the bedding. Your head swam as you attempted to remember what happened and how you got here. You remembered being in the training grounds, sparring with a few of your husband’s men when the sky suddenly turned dark. You remember running through the streets, frantically trying to find anyone that you could help try to escape. You also remember seeing him. Morax had been there. Morax had destroyed your new home.
Or: I suck at summaries. You are one of the remaining dragons and wash up on beach in Fontaine. Neuvillette finds you and your past comes back to haunt you.

Summary
Water. Cold, heavy, dark. A burning, in his throat and lungs. A song echoes below Kaveh, akin to the mournful call of a whale. The singer's voice is eerily familiar. Scales brush against his skin, the song pausing long enough for a single phrase, whispered in Sumerian:
"How has realizing your ideals gone for you?"
Kaveh's unlikely friendship (and subsequent fight) with Alhaitham, a mer from the deep sea, leads to what might be the ocean's worst roommate situation after Alhaitham saves the architect from drowning. Kaveh, now stuck in an unfamiliar body and location, has to deal with the fact that he might not be able to return to his life on land.

Summary
Kaveh’s tattoos are praised by celebrities and magazines alike, but somewhere along the path to his success, the meaning bled out of his art. Then, after ten long years, Alhaitham rides back into his life on a motorcycle - rugged, quick-witted, and infuriatingly unforgettable.
With love laced into the ink Kaveh had long since stopped believing in, something beautiful finally begins to take shape once more.
It was too immaculate, really. The sleek countertops, glass partitions, and impossibly white walls gleamed under soft, ambient lighting like they’d never known the comfort of a chaos Kaveh had lived with his entire life. Every surface was made of the kind of material that rejected fingerprints and resisted clutter - sanitized, both physically and emotionally.
Though the district his new studio was in was posh and high-end, it was surprisingly devoid of a single decent coffee shop. Perhaps the elitist locals had never actually tasted good coffee and simply mistook bitterness in a designer cup for depth - much like their conversations.
So far, Kaveh had choked down three lattes and a macchiato that tasted like lukewarm regret with a splash of oat milk.

Summary
“She'll need stability,” he says after a moment. He finds Aventurine's gaze over the girl’s head. “You'll need to figure out what you plan to do in this…venture of yours. We will deduce a plan of action once you’ve decided.”
There it is again, that casually spoken ‘we’.
Aventurine laughs weakly, plucking at a blue crayon. “Yeah,” he says. “Yeah, we will.”
Or:
Without a contingency to fall back on, Aventurine rescues an orphan from the wreckage of her home-world. Ratio, perceptive as ever, finds out.
And then helps.Bookmarked by ToxicAide

Summary
“At least if I’m here and things go wrong, I can try to keep you from doing anything particularly reckless, though I doubt my chances of success.”
The words made the growing flame in Aventurine’s heart burn a little brighter. What had started out as barely smoldering coals was quickly becoming something he had trouble keeping under control. “Careful. If you keep talking like that, I’ll start to think you’re worried about me.”
For a moment, Ratio was silent. He could feel Aventurine’s expectant gaze on him, waiting for a response. “I had thought that was obvious,” he said quietly.
Two lonely men with vast differences take a chance to reach out to one another, and find something far more powerful than their pain.
