Danny was a block away from his apartment when a figure darted from an alley, yanking him out of his thoughts and into the shadows. He dropped his groceries with a loud clunk, his hands already glowing a faint green and opening his stance to a more stable one, ready to kick back if necessary, but when he focused on what, or more like who, pulled him into the alley, he froze.

Aternatively: Lance feels like the 7th wheel and misses Keith, the team doesn't help in the slightest. Lance doesn't want to appear weak so he doesn't say anything, and lets his friends talk down on him. His friends' words hurt his mind and soul, that is until they actually lead to something much worse.
