Summary

Felix has one particular goal in mind when he departs on his Awakening – to find his father and along the way he and Jisung unravel the mysteries that happened twenty years ago that nobody in Joyton wants to talk about.

Jisung looked over at the blonde who was sitting in the lap of the blacksmith and massaging his impressive arm muscles. He'd yet to see her face but he bet she was a beauty with the way everyone at the table seemed enamoured by her.
"I could do what she does"
Hyunjin let out a laugh. "That's Felix and I doubt you are as talented as him"
Hyunjin looked the stranger up and down with a slight look of disdain. The next words out of his mouth looked like they hurt to say. "You're pretty enough, but I need girls"
"A hole is a hole" Jisung said nonchalantly whilst popping a peanut into his mouth. "And out here, the men aren't so picky". This was how it always worked when he started on one of his schemes. Fake the confidence until you get where you want to be.

After a scam goes badly Jisung escapes to a small town to hide from an angry outlaw and maybe start afresh.

The trio of kingdoms that lay west, beyond the mountains of Clefyndonia, each ruled by a family more fierce than the next have been at war since the princes of each kingdom had been in swadding cloths. When two of the kingdoms make a pact for peace to squeeze the other kingdom out of exerting any power, the Yang kingdom queen will do anything to insure that peace is guaranteed, even killing to protect the secret that the Yang princess is not all she appears to be.

Jeongin believed for most of his life that he was a girl, because his mum told him so (and she REALLY believed the fortune teller that predicted it). If the Yang kingdom can't produce a princess to marry the prince of the Lee kingdom then war will break out and if war breaks out then the Choi kingdom might take the chance to seize power and that would be a disaster. Just ask Haneul who works in the kitchens. He knows a lot.

His grip tightened on Seungmin's wrist and he had to bite his lip not to make a sound. It hurt. It hurt so good. How did he know what he liked?
"The moment I saw you, I knew I had to have you"
Those words sent a ripple right down Seungmin's spine and sent sparks into other places. They were in a taxi not five minutes later heading to Seungmin’s apartment, both positively buzzing with arousal.
The first few times it had been pure animalistic want. The moment the front door shut behind them Changbin had him pinned against it, tearing at his clothes as their lips and tongues played a merry dance. Seungmin found himself submitting willingly to any and all suggestions. He couldn't get enough of the strong, commanding man who had suddenly decided that Seungmin was his new favourite toy.

Seungmin and Changbin have been hooking up regularly for two years. They both like to fool themselves that it means nothing until suddenly it means everything. Only they are both too cowardly to do something about that.

Minho sighed. Seonghwa could tell he was holding onto his propriety by a thread. “Sure. What is it?”
“Just go back to the club. Maybe he's a regular”
Minho glared at his phone and for some reason he was very offended by the suggestion that his Jisung frequented the club (when had he started referring to him as ‘his’?). Like he was always on the prowl. Always picking up hapless omegas and ravaging them.
“Minho?”
A slightly metallic crinkling sound was heard in the background as he removed the seal off yet another pudding. “Yeah, I’m still here”
“Why don't we go to Captains together. Tomorrow night? We can look for this pleasant man together. I'll be your emotional support"
"Okay. Thanks" and Seonghwa heard a spoon clunking into a glass pudding cup as he hung up.

Minho has never had big feelings like this before and after the most incredible night of his life, he freaks out and kicks Jisung out of his apartment. Plus, pudding.

He could see the top of the man's head and his black hair. Slightly fluffy and most definitely mussed from sleeping (and other activities). But that was all he could see from this angle and he was petrified of moving lest he wake him fully. Which was now in the top three of his most stupid thoughts he'd ever had in his life. There was no way he could avoid having the uncomfortable morning after acknowledgement. The man wouldn't sleep forever and it's not like Minho could drag him downstairs and deposit him into a taxi and send him on his way without some interaction.
The head moved, the chin tilted up, a little whiny grumble issued between sweet, pouty lips and then the man's eyes opened.
This was it.
This was the moment a stranger killed Minho in his own bed.

“Chan-ah” He opened his arms and Chan rushed into them, burying his face into the man’s side. He was so tall that Chan's face barely reached his chest. He patted Chan's back.
“I can’t lose them. My boys” Chan’s voice was muffled. “I’m responsible, I have to protect them” The tears that had eventually fallen were being dried up by the other man’s shirt.

Minho had always maintained he'd not cried since debut. It wasn't entirely true. He hadn't cried on camera. Hadn't cried around the members. But maybe, just maybe, a few tears of worry had snuck out over the years and most recently after the car accident. It was no secret how much he cared about them all but he didn't like for it to come out like that. It felt... unnecessary and messy.
"Kim Seungmin said he's sleeping. Stood in his bedroom doorway and watched him sleep like he was a saesang or something"
Jisung laughed down the phone. "Did he send you a picture?"
Minho gave out a loud huff of annoyance. "I asked him to and he wouldn't!"
More laughter. "Oh baby. You need to trust that he's home because he is fine. They wouldn't release him if he wasn't"

Jisung hovered over him, a leg flung over his hip to stop him from falling off the couch onto the floor. "What about you, baby? Would you ever let ink decorate this soft, beautiful skin?" He ran his fingers over Minho's exposed forearm, tracing little nonsense patterns as he went. Minho watched his fingers as if mesmerised by their movement.
"Maybe" he breathed, pulling Jisung's arm around him, to settle about his waist. Jisung shifted till he was fully wrapped around the older. Jisung placed his other hand over Minho's heart to feel the beat as their chests rose and fell in unison. Minho placed his hand on top of Jisung's. The whole world could be burning around them right now and neither of them would notice. "Right here. Over my heart. Something to represent what I love more than anything in the world. What has had my heart all these years".

"No. Stay away from my neck" and he stabbed the air viciously with his finger in Seungmin's direction.
"It was just a question. Relax, kitten" and his mouth quirked into a smile as the pet name mollified Felix.
"Do you?" Felix fired back lazily.
Seungmin just rolled his eyes at him and got off the couch to go to his bedroom.

There was flour all over the kitchen. His hair was hanging in his face and he was trying desperately to blow the strands out of his face with puffs of breath from the side of his mouth. He heard a giggle from the living room and saw a newly arrived Hyunjin standing there thoroughly amused by his challenges.
“Even whilst frustrated you’re still a sweet angel” He moved forward, pulling the hair tie from his wrist and scraping Felix’s hair back into a ponytail at the base of his head.
“Thank you”. He huffed once again just for good measure and a thin cloud of flour rose in the air off his cheek.
“What are you making?” He wrinkled his nose in the direction of the Vegemite jar.
“Surprise for Channie-hyung”

"Hey" sympathetic fingers traced over the tears streaming down his face. "You're safe. I've got you" He cupped his face with his hands and dropped a little kiss on his nose. He pulled Seungmin's face down into the crook of his neck and combed his hands through his hair, shushing quietly under his breath when he heard a whimper. Then the whimper turned into a sob and soon he was openly crying in Felix's arms, the elder rubbing up and down his back with the heel of his hand to soothe him. "The storm can't hurt you. I promise".
His tank top was now damp from Seungmin's tears, but he didn't care. He seemed to have gone beyond the ability of communicating verbally so Felix just held him, comforting in all the ways you would a small child who’d had a nightmare.

The worry lines in her forehead deepened as he stared at her blankly. Her eyes searched his face for any recognition that what she was saying was getting through.
He turned his head away, back towards the dark swirling waters he saw far below his feet. All it would take would be one step. One step into the nothingness.

He liked it when he scowled because he knew there wasn’t anything more behind it than a brief flash of annoyance, but it always fell back into that neutral face that Lee Know liked to see. The one with no effort to it. He was just him, existing and letting Lee Know exist right beside him. He liked all his looks though. His happy looks, the looks he gave when he was so excited he thought he might burst, the pained ones when he stubbed his toe or had a headache, the sad ones when he dropped food he’d been thoroughly enjoying or reading something unpleasant on the internet, the looks of wonder when he discovered something new or figured out the perfect topline for a new song, the confused looks he’d give when he was trying to wake up in the morning but his brain was still asleep. He loved all his looks. He wished he could see them always.
As he finished ordering their food and sat back to watch the anime Han had put on the tv, an idea started to form in his head.
He wanted to marry Han Jisung.
