He shouldn’t be here, skulking outside the window of his sister’s old bedroom, the one she and her husband stay in when they visit, and he certainly shouldn’t be doing that while the occupants are inside, enjoying the sort of nightly activities husbands and wives tend to enjoy.
His excuse is that he was on a walk. He likes to take walks at night, always has. The waters around the piers are calm and placid after dark, and the night noises soothe him when the dreams that are more memories than not keep his head from the pillow.
That doesn’t mean the excuse isn’t a lie, though.

Mydei ignored the twinge of disappointment in his stomach from the realisation that his initial assessment had been proven to be correct.
Of course, the first person he met at university wouldn’t—couldn’t—be his soulmate. Right. He should have known better than to get his hopes up like this.
Phainon knows Mydei is his soulmate. Mydei, on the other hand, does not. Living together means he has to fight the irresistible urge to fall in love with his roommate.

Summary
It seems it cannot be avoided. Not exactly like Mydei is avoiding physicality in any sense of the word, but he had held off in order to measure Phainon's longevity. Now that he's found it to be unfortunately deficient, it seems that critical action must be taken. He owes it to him, doesn't he? It just…remains to be seen if Phainon's interest is piqued by such a notion.
It certainly does not save him from feeling like a predator circling it's prey, sizing up a meal to fill the maw in his chest. Perhaps he should bear some level of shame for actively planning something like this; a proverbial setting of the snare for the other to walk into, one last test in order to present his suggestion. But they've fought like wild dogs, and they've bathed together. This is just the next natural step.
mydeimos has noticed the deliverer's stamina lacking in their latest spars. he endeavors to assist him with this problem through unconventional means.
phainon accepts the proposal, but his endurance...isn't as poor as he made it seem.

Phainon looks at him for a moment. He takes a slow sip of his coffee, no longer steaming and fogging his glasses, then offers him a timid smile afterwards. “You can trust me, Mydei.”
“I do,” Mydei ends up saying.
His roommate sits back and laughs, not quite believing it yet. “Did you at least miss me?” he asks suddenly, tilting his head. Just like that, the strange tension dissipates.
My hole was pulsing to the thought of your name. Mydei takes a long, pointed bite of his toast to avoid replying.
Phainon’s grin sharpens into a boyish smirk. “Yeah. Thought so.”
On paper and in his daily life, Mydei pretends to be a beta. It wouldn’t have been any trouble, if only he isn’t attracted to his alpha roommate.

Whatever you want, he thought dimly.
Then his brain switched back on. “No!” He pushed the man away, holding him at arm's length with a stern grip on his shoulders, “it's the alcohol making you horny, come on, calm down.”
Phainon gets drunk after work and comes home to fuck Mydei pregnant.

Then, recognition draws, unravelling his stillness like the first stirrings of the morning’s light. His blue gaze sharpens, shifting fully to Mydei instead of the antique dealer, and in an instant the market fades away. Within seconds, his features transform: eyebrows lifting, a radiant smile breaking across his face that crinkles the corners of his eyes with something warm, something impossibly sweet. Mydei has to wonder if anyone else gets this smile, or if it’s reserved specially for him.
He hopes it is.
