Dun dun! If you've read this before, I'm back! If you haven't, welcome to Mechanic for Hire! I started writing this my senior year of high school and now I live three states away from where I grew up (Ao3 Author's Curse struck again). Life has changed and so has this story. Currently it's in the works to be rewritten (Perspective Changes, Plot lines added/adjusted, my own world building, etc?) and continued, it just is going to take me a little while to get back into the groove of things. I have a copy of the original saved and I might make it a new publication but I wanted to keep this work up so that anyone who has read it before can get notifications that I'm back! "Superstar?"
You loved your work. Everyone could tell that. You worked at the famous Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex as their head mechanic and technician. Apparently not many had wanted the job, since you got two titles, but you loved it anyway. Working your ass to keep this huge building running.
Sadly... all good things must come to an end. Without a warning you get fired immediately. You had to leave everything... and everyone behind. As much as you wish you could deny it, you were going to miss a robotic bear the most.
A month after you got fired, you run into a kid, saying he needs your help. What you find, leave you speechless, with tears streaming down your cheeks.Just as your dismissal notice had changed your life, so would the meeting with a brown-haired orphaned kid, a father figure to said kid and your former co-worker, change it all over again. However, it might be for the better. Change isn't always bad.

Summary
Full of nostalgia from your childhood, you apply to the Pizzaplex in hopes of leaving your old job for a better one. Turns out it doesn't matter what iteration you work for, Freddy's is Freddy's. Despite this, the animatronics are lovely and - wow, you really wish your childhood crush wasn't now seven feet tall with a deep voice and an encouraging, comforting nature. You'll try to ignore that.
But oh, If only you knew what was really going on. Maybe then you would have had a chance.
