Summary
Wolfwood seemed to have a special talent for making him feel like he was suffocating under all of his layers, something even the twin suns couldn’t do. Wolfwood had been unusually handsy with him all day, seeming to go out of his way just to have his paws on Vash in one way or another, and Vash’s blood rushed to the surface to meet his touch every time.

Summary
"Wolfwood had only been gone for an hour or so. He should have known better than to leave Vash alone, especially in a new town where he’s bound to be curious. He’d thought that maybe if Vash stayed his ass put for once, he would run a lesser risk of being recognized. With the wanted man out of sight, Wolfwood had planned to find an inn where they could hole up for the night and rest without too much worry. But that was too much to ask.
Evidently, it takes less than an hour for Vash to stick his nose where it has no business being."
Or, Vash is nearly lynched at the hands of unsettled and unruly townsfolk. Wolfwood rescues him but Vash doesn't escape unscathed. Wolfwood has to put him back together, and learns just how deep the roots of Vash's self-destruction really go.
