Satoru’s lips curl into a smug smile as he rolls his tongue over the lollipop hanging lazily from his mouth. Unbothered, his eyes sparkle with mischief. "Or what, Professor?"

Satoru Gojo has only had two great loves in his life- Suguru Geto and you. His wife. I didn't mean to get adopted.
One minute I'm stealing salmon from a butcher, the next I'm being carried home by a pro hero who thinks I'm just a stray cat. Which, fine — that's sort of the point. Nobody looks twice at a cat. Nobody asks a cat where it came from, or what it survived, or why it flinches at the word vet.
I wasn't planning on staying. I never plan on staying anywhere. But somewhere between the stolen chicken, the ridiculous nicknames, and eleven heroes who apparently adopted me before they'd even agreed on a name, staying stopped feeling like a mistake.
They think I'm just a smart cat. They're not wrong, exactly. They're just missing a few details — like the fact that I'm not actually a cat, and the people I'm hiding from haven't stopped looking.
