Kudos kudos kudos kudos! As a survivor myself, I always feel the urge to scream at potential mates who try to make the choice for the survivor instead of letting them choose whether they want the relationship or not, which IS THE FREAKING POINT HARRY YOU DUNCE. But as always, his heart is in the right place and it works out in the end. Hallelujah for (eventual *cough*) communication!
By the holy fire of Harry, the artwork is just amazing. I absolutely love the balance created in the character of Severus, with his typical confidence and power being on the surface, but vulnerability and damage underneath with such potential.
And I suppose a part of the biggest compliment I can give is the fact that I generally abhor OC in most fanfiction (not by choice, you understand) but geez I could read an entire series with Xerides as the MC! Not to mention I usually get turned off a fic when there is a lot of BAM! creature inheritance and BAM! rewritten lore. But it was so tasteful! Harry's coming to terms with it was beautiful, and the others like Lucius just had so much depth to them as a character that they weren't just there for the sake of the plot.

I have read what must have been hundreds of Snarry stories and I can honestly say this must be the best one. The perfect slow burn with amazing character and realism. And there's even an underlying plot!!!! Such beauty and naturalness. The recurring symbols of moonstone and flight make my heart sing. I've been slowly falling all over again, along with Harry. The ending of a few chapters have left me with a combination of floating and flying.

Summary
Solas is a professor of Ancient History at a prestigious University but prefers to keep to himself. When he leaves class one night he witnesses a hit and run car accident. He manages to save the woman, Lavellan and Vice President of the University, from the resulting car fire and they soon become friends.
(Eventual sex once their relationship is established(Chap. 12). Little violence, mostly the car crash and resulting injuries. Decided to remove the warning graphic depictions of violence, but there is some blood mention.)Series

Another problem is that she wakes up with pointed ears and only speaking elven. To avoid suspicion, she lies. Because who else would know ancient elven but an ancient elf?
