Summary
Loud neighbors made it impossible for Derek to write in his own apartment. Thankfully he found Bedtime Books and Brews, an all night bookstore and coffee shop, and its owner, Stiles Stilinski
Stiles off-handedly mentions his fantasy world that he daydreams about. Derek uses it as an excuse to talk to Stiles. Eventually he falls in love with the fantasy world because it’s just so Stiles so he starts taking notes about Stiles’s ramblings. Sometimes he’ll come in and ask really specific questions about the world. A couple years later, Derek gives Stiles his manuscript and it’s the world Stiles made up.

“What day is it?” Derek demanded.“What?”
“The day! What day is today?!” Derek let Stiles go, but only so he could reach into his pocket and pull out his phone. He tapped at the home screen, and then went so perfectly still that Stiles was pretty sure this guy wasn’t human. No human could stand that still.
When it was clear Derek wasn’t going to move again without some prompting, Stiles said, “It’s Wednesday.”
“That’s impossible,” Derek whispered.
“Not really, it comes around every seven days.”
“This is impossible,” Derek said again, looking around himself, as if he was searching for something.

Summary
The thing that most people don’t realize, despite the overwhelming evidence, is that werewolves are not human. Because of this, they do not act or think like humans. They have different instincts, different cultures and social norms. Stiles’s life was changed when he came to that realization, mostly for the better. Before then, he had been looking at the wolves’ behavior through a human lens, which led to bad times for everybody.
Basically, werewolves are not human, so they should not be expected to act or think like humans do.
Stories are not in chronological order, you can read any of them alone. (There are some ocs that evolve as I write each fic, but I don't think you need to read the others to understand their places in the stories.)

Logan can now see that the man is attired head-to-toe in a skintight red and black fighting suit that shows off his lean musculature. There’s two pistols holstered on the thighs Logan’s gaze lingers a beat too long on, and two swords are strapped in an ‘X’ across the man’s back.
