This ass is driving me crazy.” Sokka gave it another squeeze, and Zuko pushed back against the contact. “Need to get inside you this second, or I’m going to come right in my pants.” That sent a whole new wave of arousal through Zuko’s body, and he pulled away to capture Sokka’s mouth in a needy kiss, just barely slipping his tongue past Sokka’s lips before pulling away and eliciting a disappointed moan from him.
“Go to Ty Lee’s room. I’ll meet you there,” Zuko whispered against his lips.
Zuko and Sokka are that annoying couple who come to your party, grope each other in public, lock you out of your room, and have sex in your bed. And you know what? I think that's really valid of them.

“Sokka?” Zuko’s voice is quiet and raspy as he shifts just enough that Sokka lifts his head up from Zuko’s shoulder. The confession Sokka had ready to go dies on his lips at Zuko’s expression - at the red he can just barely make out in Zuko’s eyes. “Sokka, I… need to tell you something.”
Sokka swallows and nods silently, not trusting his own admission to not slip out if he dares to open his mouth. Zuko must be confessing the same thing Sokka wants to. Which, admittedly, Sokka hadn’t actually planned for, but it’s fine. He can adapt to this. He just needs to shift a few words around in his brain, and--
“You’re my best friend, you know that right?”
And why does Zuko’s tone make this sound like a break up?
OR
sokka and zuko break up, make up, go undercover, thwart a rebellion, watch the sunrise, and change the course of fire nation history. not necessarily in that order.

[Time passes oddly. Between one second and the next, Sokka has the Fire Lord pinned to the wall with his hands around the bastard’s throat. Golden eyes (one gold eye, his mind whispers) widen in shock.
“Sokka?” he chokes out. And then he smiles.
What the fuck?
“Sokka, I—”
Sokka slams his head against the wall, once, twice, and the smile wipes off his face. Good.
“What,” Sokka bites out, “have you done to my sister?”]
Or:
An injury leaves Sokka with amnesia. His last memory is of the failed invasion, of leaving his father behind in enemy territory on the Day of Black Sun. Of hopelessness. Rage.
But then he wakes up, and the war is over. Suddenly, he must come to terms with the fact that years have passed, and that he's somehow the Southern Water Tribe Ambassador to the Fire Nation. He is also supposedly friends with banished-Prince-turned-Fire-Lord Zuko, of all people. Close friends.

Sokka loved the home he had come to find. Zuko was the closest friend he had ever had, and they understood each other completely. Katara had called it “love”, Aang had called it “companionship”, Toph had called it “gross”.
In honesty, he wouldn’t deny being in love with Zuko. He wasn’t even sure if it wasn’t something that had transcended love and reached a state of pure peace and understanding that grew between them not only after fighting side by side, but also while raising Izumi. But he had never acted upon his feelings, knowing Zuko had not only a daughter to care for, but an entire nation to run.
And he had made his peace with that. He had found his own little corner of the world, his own little family, that maybe wasn’t what he had expected, but so much more instead.

When Zuko arrived at the South Pole to capture the Avatar, the Spirits did not shine kindly on him and he finds himself a prisoner of the most pathetic excuse for a Tribe he has ever had the misfortune of seeing. He hates the seadog teen who managed to capture him with a boomerang, of all things. He hates that the boy is clearly clueless about how to treat prisoners of war. He hates that he's being treated well.

Sokka's boomerang is never to be underestimated. The only issue now is that he's accidentally captured a Fire National - not knowing it's the Crown Prince of the Fire Nation. With no way to send the guy home, or release him without letting him freeze to death, Sokka finds himself in an uncomfortable situation which makes him feel weirder the more he thinks about it and Zuko definitely isn't making it any easier for him.Bookmarked by Visxna

"What kind of trick are you planning again?" The teen asks, looking angry, but not reaching for his weapon this time.Or:
Zuko works at the Jasmine dragon when Sokka coincidently stumbles inside. Sokka keeps an eye on the crazy prince to make sure he really changed and doesn't plan anything.
