Always knew there was more to his backstory than just the Orbit, too, even if Sanji clammed up tighter than any shellfish in the sea rather than drop a single hint.
Glaring up into a face he knows, bearing an utterly indifferent expression, being worn by some musclehead with green slicked-back hair and a fancy shiny outfit, Zeff is pretty sure he’s about to get hit with a whole lot more than any mere hint.

A runaway prince currently in hiding, what’s he to do when a group from the East show up demanding he join them on their quest to find Germa’s missing prince.
Of course Sanji could never say no to a lady, and her rather handsome green-haired friend who strikingly resembles a figure from Sanji’s past.

With Big Mom's insistence, Pudding has used the Memo-Memo fruit to remove the memories of Sanji from the Straw Hat Pirates. They leave Whole Cake Island thinking that they had come for the Road Poneglyph from Big Mom. And Sanji loses all hope.
