Summary
Life had gotten boring. There was no other way of saying it. You had spent too many years of your life letting your work consume you and, as of late, being an art restorer and conservator felt rather underwhelming. You specialized in religious relics and monuments and were now an independent artist. After years of working in museums and on historical sites, you nowadays only took commissions from particulars, which meant mainly dealing with rich fuckers who wanted to preserve their private collections of dubiously acquired artifacts. However, you were suddenly approached by the very secretive Sister Imperator asking you to travel, for a very well-paid job opportunity, to a place she only referred to as “The Ministry”...
This story is a work of fiction. It is only inspired by Ghost's lore and fictional characters but has no real correlation to the people wearing the masks.

"That Curator of yours is quite pretty." Sister says, not even looking up. The six of them are the first to arrive. Even from here, Copia can see the gears spinning in her mind as she plots.
"She's not 'my' curator," He stresses, even though the contact page's professional headshot of Lilly beckons him with her sweet smile.
'She's engaged and I have too much shit going on.' He thinks. 'She was just being nice. You've known her for two hours.'
"I don't want to hear it; she's engaged," He gets out right as Imperator begins to speak the sentence he knew she would. "And she's a professional. We're just part of her job and we are not going to cross that line."
"The Clergy grows restless that you are not indulging in the sins of the flesh, Cardi. It's not a good look when a Papa doesn't follow the rules."

He offered me a small smile, the first I had seen from him before his expression went dark again. Without warning, he placed his hand under my chin, forcing me to look up at him.
“I mean it,” he warned. “Be careful around the ghouls. All of us… even me.” His eyes flashed with something I couldn’t quite discern. He released me and was gone before I could even think of a response.
