Summary
The questions others pose can reflect a lot about them and their intentions. Robby knows this; it's not exactly a foreign concept to someone working in an emergency room, especially with the sheer amount of injury and near-death being tossed their way left, right, and centre.
Unfortunately, it's not always as simple as surveying the severity of a core problem. Questions, albeit only sometimes, may tell you more than their answers ever could.
"He has a girlfriend?"
Or: Robby has a brief talk with Santos. Her answers leave him searching for some more of his own.

"It's about the dynamic, Wilson," House says. "It's not sharing. It's lending. You borrow what I lend, and then you return it."
You borrow what I lend. What, is this mystery P.I. guy some sort of utility?
The lack of hypothetical tense is far from preferable. House is speaking as if this is going to happen; as if Wilson's already agreed, clasped hands, signed his soul away. It's nothing short of thrilling, but he'd rather dig his own grave than admit that.
Or: Wilson finds himself involved in another one of House's relationships, amidst a fair few privacy violations.

Summary
Lucas doesn’t dare meet House’s eyes, his gaze lingering right where the blanket covers his lower abdomen. The cut off is a sure tease, one that must be intentional. Lucas might’ve just scoffed if he wasn't so distracted.
“Is it okay if I... can I touch you? Are you, y’know...?” he trails off, feeling himself flush deeper. He sighs, trying his best to look away, but House’s presence alone is heavy enough to sear his better judgement. "God, this is really hot. Are you hot?”
House scoffs, the covers creasing in his grip as he slides them up and further obscures the view. "You seem to think so."
Or: Lucas watches House sleep, among other things. He’s not entirely sure how he gets from point A to B.

Summary
Lannan brings the neck of the beer bottle lower and lower until the cap is nestled right under Lachy’s belt buckle. He watches Lachlan’s face closely, his wide eyes down to his plush lips, and drags the finish of the bottle under the clasp. The cap snaps loose and falls to the floor, and Lannan smirks at Lachlan’s silence.
“Sick, isn’t it?” he brags, taking note of Lachy's now-vibrant flush. “I learnt it from this guy I used to work with.”
Or: Lachlan loses a bet, and while giving him his punishment, Lannan can't quite keep his hands to himself.

“You’re head-honcho, face of all that modern technology, but…” Alastor trails off. “There's an animalistic need hiding behind those flashy screens, wouldn’t you say?”
Vox scoffs, slouching in his chair. Heat pools low in his gut. “What exactly are you getting at?”
His acting is on point, but he feels the shift in his own brightness, knows it’s all over his face. It’s a pure, unbridled splash of embarrassment, one that denounces the disinterest and confusion he’s been pretending to have.
Or: Vox is presented with a last chance to submit on his own terms. The fact that it's to Alastor is just a coincidence.

“Say what you really mean. Just once.” Coming from anyone else, it would sound like a plea. Coming from House, it sounds like a challenge. “Just once. Come on.” He raises his hand, ready to push Wilson a third time.
Before he can make contact with Wilson’s shoulder, Wilson’s hand is there, intercepting his. He grips House’s wrist, and there’s a horrible, dangerous bite in his voice when he spits, “I said that’s enough.”

After a fight, somewhere on a dark dirt road, House finds out what happens when he pushes Wilson too far.
