Alarm overtook Kaveh’s expression as he looked back and forth between Alhaitham and the matra, dropping his sketchpad and leaping to his feet. “Why is there a guard here? Did you get hurt?”
“Some idiot decided poisoning me to obtain state secrets would be an optimal use of a Tuesday morning,” Alhaitham replied with a deep sigh.
Kaveh’s hands hovered uselessly in the air for a few moments as he stared at Alhaitham. “I’m sorry, what?”
Leaning back against the wall, Alhaitham let out a weary exhale. “Truth serum,” he said tiredly, raking his fingers through his hair then dropping his hand down to rub his throat. “I can’t lie.”
Kaveh’s eyes widened. “Oh my gods. Are you - are you okay?” Hurrying forward, Kaveh - with his blessedly fully covered legs - guided Alhaitham onto the divan, hands steady despite the panic in his voice.
“I don’t know. I’m just glad you’re wearing pants,” was all Alhaitham managed to answer.

Summary
Alhaitham tries a new drink at the tavern one night during their weekly game night with Cyno and Tighnari and unwittingly drinks far more than his usual limit of two glasses of wine. Kaveh, never having seen Alhaitham drunk before, is not only shocked by how affectionate he is, but the fact that he only seems to be that way with Kaveh.
“Where are you going? Stay.” Alhaitham knew he was whining, but in his intoxicated state, he really didn't care.
To his relief, Kaveh wasn’t irritated, smiling softly down at him. “I just have to pee, Haitham. I'll be right back,” he said gently. Gods, what right did Kaveh have being this beautiful?
Alhaitham mumbled something unintelligible under his breath, but reluctantly let go, watching Kaveh weave through the tables. His gaze lingered until the bathroom door swung shut behind Kaveh, slumping down in his seat and sighing.
“Damn, drunk Alhaitham's even further gone for Kaveh than sober Alhaitham. Didn't even think that was possible,” Tighnari mused, raising an eyebrow at him knowingly.

Kaveh bought himself a new sketchbook a few days ago and hasn't left it since. He didn't protect any other so much and he didn't even want to show Alhaitham, which was quite strange because he always explained everything to him in detail.
Whenever he came to Kaveh while he was drawing, he always locked it and wouldn't even let him look. At first he didn't care, because he didn't want to invade his private space, but he began to become more and more curious about it.

Kaveh bought a new sketchbook, but there is more to it than just regular drawings. Alhaitham's curiosity gets the better of him and he wants to see what's so special about it.
