Summary
How did he know that, if he wasn’t sure of his own name? It was like riding a bike, he supposed. There were things you could never forget, engraved in your muscles—your heart—forever. Such as instinct. Impressions. Feelings.
Stan Pines doesn’t remember much. Scratch that, he doesn’t remember anything. He knows that he has a husband, and that his husband loves him—loves him enough to sail away with him in an adventure of a lifetime, to bear the fact Stan’s mind isn’t ever going to recover all the history between them, to protect their domestic bliss with tooth and nail and a strange but fancy-looking gun.
As his memory slowly returns, against all probabilities, he is ecstatic. Or would be, truth be told, if his loving husband didn’t look so grim.

Summary
“Ford.”
Ford isn’t looking into your eyes right now. He seems lost in a dreamworld, the faintest hint of a smile on his lips as he gazes down at yours; when he replies his voice is almost reverent in its softness. “Yes, dear?”
“Kiss me again, please.”
❀⊱┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄⊰❀
For the past few months, you and Stanford Pines have been romantic partners. And he’s wonderful: attentive, sweet, and a perfect gentleman. But lately, you’ve been eager to explore the more… physical aspect of this relationship. So has he.
One evening, you finally take the plunge and invite Ford inside after a date.

Summary
“I know this is entertaining,” you said, holding up his folder with a smirk. “But I can feel your eyes on me.” You sighed, flipping the file back open. “Want me to get you a newspaper or something?”
Stan saw an opening, so he took it. He was starting to get bored of letting you have the upper hand.
“If my eyes make you squirm, honey…” he said, leaning back casually, “just wait ‘til you feel my hands.”

“I know of a few stretches that may help.” With your free hand, you opened the door for him. He thanked you and stepped inside. You followed behind, watching his back move, telling yourself it was an assessment. Because… you were a professional.
Although, this morning, your focus was misplaced.

Summary
“Go ahead. Blow my brains out. I know you want to. Besides, Stanley Pines has been dead for years anyway.” Stan felt dead long before he took his brother’s identity. “Bringing you back was the only reason I didn’t off myself years ago.”
Ford just stood there with his mouth agape like a deer in the headlights.
“Just do it! Pull the trigger! PULL THE TRIGGER, STANFORD!”

Summary
The point is: he’s seen some shit. Done some shit. Gone through some shit. It’s all molded him to become the man he is today, and yes, while there might be a soft marshmallowy type center inside of him that maybe does enjoy those old time-y Victorian era romance dramas, it doesn’t change the fact that Stan knows how to handle himself. Knows how to take care of himself.
Except, it seems a certain brainiac still hasn’t gotten the memo.
~
After an intimate encounter with Stan goes south, Ford starts acting weird and overprotective over him—even if he's still refusing to look him in the eyes.

You let out a sigh. “I’m a little nervous, honestly. It’s been a while since I’ve even thought about going on a date.”
“That’s exactly why this is perfect,” Melody said, ever the optimist. “Just try to enjoy it.” She stopped with you at your car and squeezed your shoulder. “Let those two weird old men spoil you a little.”

Summary
Stan snorted. “Good luck keeping Ford from poking his head anywhere. This guy’s a mystery magnet.”
Ford chuckled. “Stanley’s right. I’ve accessed much more challenging places and dealt with much greater threats. We’ll be fine.”
**Author's Note: They were not, in fact, fine.**
----------------
On their way to the Arctic in the Stan o' War, Ford and Stan dock at an Alaskan mining town for supplies. Before they know it, they're pulled into a hunt for a mysterious creature that's possessing and killing local oil field workers.
Basically an excuse to write lots of sibling banter, high-stakes cryptid hunts, and that sweet, sweet hurt/comfort.
