“You don’t remember me,” she states—a declarative.
Link frowns, penitent. “Only the crown, Your Highness.”
The words sting as much as the first time, but she clenches her fists. “Then we will find a way to recover your memories.”
His handsome lips pull taut, drawing her attention downward, and she hates that she feels such longing to kiss him— Could they recover his memories if she could just kiss him with enough ardor?
“Princess,” he says gently, “there is nothing to recover.”
What if after sending Link backwards in time, it is Zelda alone who retained memories of his heroism? Will Link succumb to nihilism, navigating a life without purpose or meaning? Or can Princess Zelda help piece back together what time has shattered?

"You know, you should stop by my place on Tuesday," Zelda comments in a tone so jarringly sweet he's reeled right back in.
He shakes his head, certain he's misheard her. "What? I-"
"Our cleaning lady comes by on Tuesdays," she smiles. "Maybe she can vacuum all those cobwebs out of your ears-since your head is so pathetically void of any intelligent thought."
Link slams the pencil down flat. "If you hate tutoring me so much, why don't you just quit already?"It's Link most daunting adventure yet: High school! Having just moved to the big city, Link is struggling in more ways than one: Relentless bullying, no friends besides his sassy little sister, and to top it all off, he's failing! But when tutoring pits him against the most popular girl in school, he realizes he might not be the only one in need of rescuing.
[This story is a BotW-focused AU with a couple tweaks and some familiar faces'n'places from other games joining along the way!]

“Princess!” he yelled after her. “Where are you going?”
“Back to the castle,” she replied without stopping.
“Not by yourself you’re not!”
“I’m sorry,”—she whipped around—“I didn’t realize you were my father?”
“Your father, the king, would execute me for letting you travel by yourself.”
“Oh, so this is about self-preservation?”
“Yes. Yours. There are monsters all over Hyrule now, Your Highness.” Blue eyes pointedly looked her up and down. “And by the looks of it, you’re not equipped to handle that.”
She mirrored his scrutiny and scoffed. “What, and you are?” She gestured to the cairns beyond the trees. “Are you going to protect me as well as you protected them?”Calamity is here.
The Goddess Hylia appointed but two children to prevent the end of the world. The powers they were promised don't come easily, and after years of failure, Princess Zelda can't help but wonder if Hylia chose wrong. It certainly doesn't help that the boy fate has tangled her with makes her seethe.[This story is set in a fusion of BotW/TotK, with a couple tweaks and some familiar faces'n'places from older games joining along the way!]

Summary
Link was 17 when he "stole" the Master Sword. Now, he has been labeled a fugitive and left with nothing. Seeking some more information on his supposed partner against the Calamity (and maybe a little revenge against the king that declared him a fugitive), Link launches a series of heists on Hyrule Castle. These quickly spiral as his curiosity about Princess Zelda becomes something more, dragging both of them into an unpredictable series of adventures.
There will be angst, there will be Rhoam Shade, there will be koroks helping with heists, and by Hylia there will be Zelink.

Nearly three years have passed since the Sealing of Calamity Ganon. With their destiny fulfilled The Princess Zelda and her loyal Knight Attendant Link have settled into the idyllic Sheikah community of Kakariko Village and find themselves struggling to sort out how they fit into this new world, what roles they play in this world, and who they are to one another. Perhaps in taking a chance to escape they can find the answer to the one question they need answered. Can they be anything other than The Princess and Her Knight?

Raking her eyes up and down, she takes in the typical navy and burgundy uniform—which is infuriatingly spotless and somehow has the appearance of being perfectly ironed and creased without wrinkles—despite having spent the last week in humid tents. Along with his rather diminutive stature and sandy hair leaking from under an otherwise perfectly placed cap, his most noticeable trait is the unnervingly empty blue eyes boring into hers, which when combined with his utterly blank expression, betrays a complete lack of concern or surprise. A lack of any emotion really. His address seems perfectly innocuous on the surface; she had come to a sudden stop in the middle of the path for seemingly no reason at all—and yet—it feels as if his vacant expression is mocking her failure anyway.

The signs of impending evil grow more numerous by the day.
Her supposed goddess given sacred power refuses to be of any use.
It certainly doesn't help that her father has assigned a short, blank faced and long haired knight to be her escort instead of the Hero himself.

Summary
The Kingdom of Hyrule has been usurped by the Demon King Ganondorf, but Princess Zelda refuses to officially cede her throne to the monster who killed her family, landing her in the castle dungeons. There, she meets her cell-mate, an injured young soldier named Link whose blatant defiance matches her own. Keeping her identity hidden from him becomes harder as they grow closer, a dangerous situation that Ganondorf could use against them to finally break the Princess' spirit and gain the throne.
