Tony traces the shell of his ear, back and forth until Steve giggles softly, too sensitive, before the calloused finger makes its way down the side of his neck, sending delightful shivers down his spine.

Summary
When Steve talks, Tony doesn’t really process much, not like this. He knows that there is one Steve in front of him and then there is Steve, warm, pliable, beautiful and bloodied. Tony’s not exactly sure what the difference is.
Well, other than the very glaring one: the first one is holding Tony’s hand, caressing his palm with a rough thumb and whispers to him all those unintelligible words; the other one though, is locked into a room with glass walls, and sways inside a cage hanging from the ceiling—locked away like an animal, chains heavy and thick against his slack arms.Series

It feels strange returning to the lake house after everything. Tony feels such a sense of calm here, interspersed with memories of loneliness and pain. The house is warm and bright, bathed in the golden light of the early morning. One of the windows is open slightly, letting the late autumn breeze in, fluttering the curtain softly. It's so calm and serene.
Steve fits into the picture effortlessly: his skin glows a soft pink and his hair shines in the sunlight like a halo; the baby blue blanket, Tony knows smells like him, is tucked around his shoulders.Series

But as he scratches under the furry chin, and little rascal lifts his head, a pair of almost unnaturally perfect blue eyes flutter open, then close with a satisfied purr. Recognition strikes him like a bolt of lightning, sudden and warm.

Steve doesn't mind. He adores the bright sparkle in the other Alpha's eyes and relishes the slow, appreciative up-and-down look he gives Steve's body. When the man—Tony, he introduces himself—finally removes his mask, Steve can feel a thrill run down his spine.

Summary
The music is blaring loudly as ever, colors running into each other, meshing and flowing like water. They are ever-present, even behind closed eyelids, they seep through their skin and flare up their grey world.
Feng Xin would think of something like this as a beautiful experience, lean back and feel the warmth run through her, swift and gentle, like the rainbow that curls up to the sky until the soil beckons for its presence. She really would.
But today, somehow these colors seem to dim, as if their vibrancy got pushed back by something more dominant.[Written for FengQing week 2019]
