Lex Luthor hates Superman so much he would do anything in this world to end that good-looking alien. Anything. That includes finding out about pink kryptonite, investigate its effects and stick to the plan of breaking his heart into a million pieces right after making him fall in love for Lex. It doens't really matter if he is also falling in love back in the process. Or does it?

Ezra grinned.
“--But I still don’t trust her.”
“You don’t trust anybody,” he replied, heading toward the doorway, his grin turning to a smirk.
“I trust you,” she muttered.
Or: After the Green, Ezra and Cee take a job that feels a little too familiar and, of course, goes wrong in all of the ways it possibly could, leaving them fighting cave-ins, cracked helmets, and creatures that definitely aren't just channel rats.
