“And then the goddamned Replacement—"
Dick grunts. Jason calling Tim, ‘Replacement’ never ceases to be annoying and he is too tired for this shit. He yanks the pillow from his head and throws a glare Jason’s way. “Oh, will you knock it off with that already?”
Jason stops and looks at him. “Knock what off?” he asks, and his words are still clipped with anger.
“All that ‘Replacement’ bullshit and being perpetually pissed off at Tim.”
“It’s not bullshit,” Jason grits out.
Dick groans again and throws his pillow across the room in frustration. He stares at the ceiling.
“What?” Jason asks sharply.
Dick doesn’t say anything. He should never have opened his mouth. He closes his eyes and tries to gather his calm.
“Come on, Goldie. You got something to say, then say it,” Jason snarls.
Dick grinds his teeth. He hates that name and the way Jason uses it like a cudgel with him. Hates the inherent implication that Bruce somehow loves Dick best. It’s ridiculous; love is love and Bruce loves all his kids.
But Dick’s patience has been teetering on the edge and now it’s the ‘Goldie’ that tips him over into the dark maw of anger.

Summary
Dick takes a half-dozen or so spoonsful of the soup before just pushing it around the bowl while he stares at it. Out of nowhere, he says, “I know you’re wondering about the things I said.” He eats a couple more spoons of soup, head hunched over the bowl.
Jason opens his mouth to deny it but then stops. It doesn’t feel right to not be fully honest with Dick after Dick had been forced to fully bare his own truths in the most brutal way.
“I might be. But that doesn’t give me any claim to the information. You don’t need to tell me anything about it.”
Dick lifts his head and looks directly at Jason, unflinching. “Tarantula raped me. And I’m guessing Roy probably told you about Mirage.” He says it conversationally, and his face betrays nothing, but Jason can’t miss how now his knuckles are white where his hand is gripping the spoon.
Or,
Dick's stalker doses him with truth serum, and no one has a good time.

It isn't a problem.

6 times Dick or Jason save each other (but manage to escape being found out), and the 1 time doing so leads to a reveal that was a long time coming.
OR
Jason's fear of being abandoned, of having Dick taken from him by someone else VS. Dick's fear of losing Jason, of being the reason Jason endures more pain. (So maybe Jason wants everyone to know Dick is his so they would stop trying to take him away, so maybe Dick wants no one to know Jason is his so Jason wouldn't be targeted and die again because of how much he means to Dick)

Because even though Dick had said ‘Not tonight’ rather than a no, he’s shown no inclination to go further than kissing all the times they’ve met up since that first kiss. Dick still remembers the first time he saw Jason Todd vividly; he’d been thirteen, a little more than a year older than the other boy, and his first impression had been that of a bloody, dripping nose, and teeth revealed by a snarl as Jason had punched a bigger boy in juvie for attempting to intimidate him. Dick hadn’t been overly impressed (the fighting skills had somewhat impressed him, begrudgingly) considering he’d already been told the new kid would be his cellmate. Having an aggressive hothead share his room for the foreseeable future wasn’t his idea of a good time.
