Months after the Battle of the Five Armies, it is clear that the people of Dale will not make it through the winter without assistance. Bard travels to Mirkwood to secure aid from Thranduil. There was little that the new King of Dale would not do for his people so when Thranduil offers him aid in exchange for Bard remaining with him for two weeks, Bard does not think twice about trading himself in exchange for his people’s survival, if he has understood his terms correctly.
What begins as a brief affair slowly turns into something more. In a slight reversal from the usual formula, this is endless smut from start to finish with a slow-burn romance underneath. I will be adding more tags as I update the story.

A Cinderella-esque AU. Bilbo, a lonely hobbit of the Shire in the valley outside Erebor, gets a job as a cook in the dwarf kingdom to pass the time and keep himself occupied after his mother’s death. One day he meets a regal dwarf, who he thinks is a thief and trespasser, and throws an apple at his head, never knowing he’s just assaulted the dwarven Prince. Thus begins the antagonistic and somewhat odd courtship of a hobbit and the next King of Erebor.

While making arrangements for the guests staying at Imladris for a feast, Lindir walks in on a blond elf he assumes to be one of Thranduil’s servants pleasuring him with his mouth. Scandalised by the obscene act he considers taboo, he is too shocked to move, even as he finds himself becoming aroused, only leaving when he is caught watching. When he returns on Thranduil’s request to assist him with a bath, Thranduil offers to show him what he is missing out on.
This is basically smut from start to finish. The first chapter can be read with or without incest as a stand-alone one shot.

Bilbo finds out that dwarves have zero concept of anal sex or rimming and winds up having to explain it to Thorin, to his great embarrassment. Later, the explanation gets more in-depth and eventually gives both Bilbo and Thorin more than they bargained for.
This began as a comical smut one-shot but eventually took on a life of its own as a massive Bagginshield vs Kilbo love triangle. It has become a tale of love, pining, heartbreak, family, and sacrifice. But there is still smut. I'm still me, damnit.
