Summary
“No.11 Hero Nice Donates 3.5 Million Yuan to Bailuo Children’s Institute,” reads the latest headline, timestamped two minutes ago. Accompanying the article is a dazzling photograph of the man of the hour, perfectly windswept, smiling that vapid smile of his as he shakes hands with an elderly man in a suit.
But… Nice’s smile isn’t the shallow simulacrum of heroism he’s been wearing in recent years. And his eyes—they don’t have that glassy, dead look they usually have, these days. Instead, they sparkle in the sunlight, glittering with determination. With resolve.
The day Nice decides to end it all, another hero figures out what he plans to do. Armed with little more than a half-cocked plan and his wits, he—somewhat reluctantly—jumps to the rescue.
