Summary

“Jonathan, it’s Mike,” Will says firmly. “Tell me what Nancy said.”“Okay, I just—I don’t really know how to tell you this.”
“Tell me what?”
Jonathan glances away from the road briefly to look at him. “They think he did it on purpose.”
His body knows before his mind does. The world turns on its axis. He feels like he’s going to be sick. He blinks rapidly, reaching out to grab the dashboard with one hand as he’s overcome with suffocating vertigo.
“Did what on purpose?”
“Jumped,” Jonathan says, careful and quiet. “The doctors think he jumped.”
