“You mean, there was a beautiful, brilliant, amber-eyed boy, and a half-starved, mangy-looking wolf,” a voice interrupted. “It looks like I made it just in time, huh?” Derek said with a conspiratorial smirk at Thomas. “Gotta make sure you tell it right.”
“Yeah, Daddy!” Thomas parroted. “Tell it right!”
“Okay, okay,” Stiles sighed, settling his arm across Thomas with his hand resting on his husband’s waist, thumb drawing an absent-minded little circle. “Once upon a time, there was a probably-going-to-grow-into-his-looks-just-fine young boy, and a very lonely wolf…”

Summary
“Ok. I’ve got a few shirts with me because I came here straight from work, but I think it’s going to be a tight fit. I know I’m not as skinny as I used to be but I’m not exactly the same hunky physique as you, oh grand macho werewolf,” Stiles shrugs.
Derek runs his eyes blatantly over Stiles’ chest.
“I’m not so sure about that,” Derek mutters, and he slams his mouth shut, teeth audibly clacking together, as if he really hadn’t meant to say that out loud.
Stiles flushes but he heads upstairs to grab Derek a spare dark shirt. When he gets back to the kitchen, Derek’s already shed his dirty shirt and he’s helping himself to Stiles’ half empty mug of coffee, neck thrown back as he drinks.
Stiles literally looks to the heavens because he must have done something really good in a past life to be awarded with the sight of Derek Hale’s naked, very firm, slightly hairy torso parading around his dad’s kitchen before eleven in the morning.
Drinking his coffee. Stiles’ mouth had just been on that mug. Right where Derek’s mouth is.
By elementary school rules of dating (ie sharing a bottle, your mouth touching where someone else’s mouth was just touching, sharing cooties) they’re now married.

Summary
“Stiles?”
It was so quiet in the loft, the only sound Derek could hear was Stiles muttering to himself under his breath. It all played out like a horror movie, tense and eerie. Derek didn’t like horror movies, he’d already seen too much in the real world.
“Stiles, what are you doing?” The closer he got to the table, to Stiles, the more he could smell him. Fear and terror overriding in copious amounts. It was more than what Stiles usually provided, and oddly so seeing as how he wasn’t hunched over and hyperventilating. He was simply sitting there, breath even, heart calmly beating away in his chest.
Derek reached out, placing a hand on Stiles’ shoulder. He tugged on him to get Stiles to turn around. At first it was as if Stiles was fighting back against his grip but then Stiles relented and let himself be pulled backward.
His eyes were open but he wasn’t looking at anything in particular. Derek waved a hand over his face and sighed when he realized the obvious.
“You’re sleepwalking.”

“Hey look, I kinda need to run something by you,” Scott starts, sounding sheepish, “You know how I said the venue only has eight rooms?”
Stiles ‘hmm’s’ absentmindedly, half-distracted by his work phone that’s pinging with emails. “Well, my Dad has decided he wants to stay the night of the wedding now, so we’ve had to make a few changes to the sleeping arrangements.”
Stiles groans, throwing his work phone across the bed. He has a feeling he knows where this is going and he knows that Scott knows he’s got him backed into a corner.
“Really, Stiles, we couldn’t figure out how to do it another way, and I know it’s not exactly the best timing in the world—”
“Just come out with it, Scott.”
“We need you to share a room with Derek.”

Or, the one where Stiles tries to deny that he's emotionally constipated, there's a wedding, and no one will shut up about what happened at Scott's fucking Bachelor Party.

Summary
Stiles looks down, fiddling with his pen when the bell goes again and he’s startled when Derek sits down opposite him.
“Go sit at that empty seat over there,” Derek looks up and tells the guy whose chair he just rudely stole.
The guy looks down at Derek like he wants to argue but Derek stares him down (stares him up?) until the guy walks off muttering something about rules being there for a reason under his breath.
“What the hell are you doing?” Stiles says incredulously. “Where did you even get those?”
In the nine minutes they’ve been apart, Derek’s managed to acquire two wine glasses and an expensive looking bottle of red.
Derek pours them both a drink.
“This whole set up is awful,” Derek tells him pointedly, holding a glass out.
“No it’s not. You’re not making the best of it,” Stiles frowns but he takes the glass that Derek’s offering him regardless.
What? He’s rather into his red wine lately, he’s not about to cut off his nose to spite his Derek. His face. He means his face.

It had always been one world, with water slipping into the cracks, until there was an ocean between them. Stiles was always caught in the riptides, dragged out to sea where he was left to drown, sinking below the surface as Derek grew further and further out of his reach.
“Yeah,” Stiles agreed, forcing his lips to turn up in the corners, noting the slight crack in his voice, “long time ago."

“That was supposed to be Scott's Christmas present,” Stiles groans.
“We gathered that. You unwrapped it yourself and threw the tag at Liam’s head,” Derek mumbles from his hiding place under his arm. “You sang Happy Christmas to Scott in the tune of Happy Birthday while forcing us all to drink it.”
"Oh my god, please stop talking now,” Stiles sits up again.
Derek peeks out from under his arm to look at him with one eye open, dark hair adorably rumpled, so much so that Stiles wants to smooth it down. Stiles sits on his hands.
“You did this to me. I'm going to be hungover on Christmas day because of you." Derek growls accusingly.
“Ok, ok! Look I’ll go make us my famous hangover cure and we can call it even,” Stiles gallantly pushes to his feet and grabs his phone, which is inexplicably in one of his shoes. “We don’t have to be there until two, it’s not even midday yet.”
“Fine. Make me coffee. So much coffee,” Derek pulls the sheets over his head.
"Are we going to discuss how we ended up sharing a bed?" Stiles wiggles his eyebrows. “Or would you like to just blissfully ignore it, oh Alpha mine."
“The second one," Derek mumbles from under the sheet.
