Summary
While traveling Teyvat after his father’s death, Diluc goes searching for revenge in Snezhnaya. An opportunity presents itself when he’s overpowered by a harbinger he recklessly challenged. Diluc fights only with black fire, something like interest glints in the eye of the harbinger and when Diluc is rightfully defeated, his life is spared if only to preserve the potential of his talent. The darkness in his eyes, blighted by the act of mercy killing his own father, attracts Pantalone's attention. When questioned about the delusion he acquired, Diluc confesses his identity, though he fabricates a lie about his fathers weaknesses and the pride of a man who never earned his own vision in the first place.

You don’t know what they’re like behind closed doors, you’d tell yourself, an echo of what he pumped into your head continuously to lower your expectations.
“Every damn night I thought about how I’d take care of you when I got back. Remembered how you look under me when you come,” Leon continues, voice thick and heavy now with the weight of his revelation. “Shoulda taken you out on a real date months ago.”
