There was more banging on the door as a heavy silence fell between the two. The sparks flashed, illuminating Dean's face, and something occurred to Cas at that moment. There was the spark of an idea filling his head. Castiel looked down at his bloody palm before looking at Dean. Dean looked back at him, face drawn and drained of hope. But still beautiful. Still Dean Winchester.
"Wait- There is one thing she's afraid of," Dean looked at Cas, eyes wide and disbelieving. "There's one thing strong enough to stop her."

“Sorry you said it was Castiel? Just the one name?” Cas nodded, "So do you just like the one name thing? Like Beyoncé?" Castiel didn't think she was insulting him, but he thought there was something off about the way she laughed. He realized belatedly that she must have assumed he was some sort of undercover monster.

“Merlin has magic!” Uther announced desperately. Arthur lowered the horn.
“I know,” Arthur admitted, looking his father in the eyes. He tried not to falter at the shock and disappointment that crossed Uther’s face. He made eye contact with Merlin over Uther’s shoulder. “I love him anyway.”
This can technically be read as a stand alone fic but for context of how they got together and how Merlin revealed his magic, there’s the first fic in this series.

Merlin was confused, to say the least. When he had told Arthur of his magic, he had half expected him to kill him on the spot or banish him right then and there. He certainly never expected Arthur to speak to him again, let alone look him in the eye as he did now. He felt as through the rug would be pulled out from under him at any moment, that Arthur would reveal it was a trick. But then, he could have killed Merlin right there and Merlin would have been okay. Arthur’s hands were warm on his and his gaze was gentle. Merlin could have died happy there.

Summary
I had a conversation with a friend about what would have happened if Merlin had revealed his magic to Arthur in Sword in the Stone, which of course turned into a fic. Then someone asked me if there was going to be more, which of course turned into a plan for a whole series. I plan on doing a whole new ending for the series eventually, but I’m not sure what that will entail. The title of this series came from the title I originally planned for Sword in the Stone but ended up not using. Figured it would make a good series title since this series will in essence be Merlin season five - but with magic and merthur.
I usually just follow the scripts, tweaking things as I see fit for this universe so obvious disclaimer that I don’t own what happens in the actual episodes, only the added angst, fluff, and sarcasm.
