Summary

Seonghwa’s shoulders relax, and he pulls his wrist free, only to bring it to Felix’s own and rub them together as he speaks. “We interviewed someone this morning, an alpha that Yeosang immediately felt comfortable with. His name is Chan, he’s also Korean by way of Australia.”
“He’s here now?” Felix looks back toward the door, eager to see this alpha that’s ready to protect him. “We’re hiring him, right?"
When the frosted door opens, Felix angles his head to look, and then his heart swoops violently in his chest at the familiar face of the man walking in.

“Hi,” Chan speaks softly, voice tender and soft.
The omega looks up at him, clearly shocked and bewildered by the situation. But then a giggle bubbles up from their chest and to Chan’s surprise, the omega reaches up to caress his cheek. They gaze at Chan in wonder, taking all of the alpha in, as if they can’t believe this is happening. Chan still can’t believe it himself.
“Well, this is one hell of an introduction, I'm Felix.” Chan blinks in surprise, not expecting the deep and rich voice that leaves those pretty heartshapped lips, but he finds that it fits his mate perfectly. It’s lovely and soothing, the alpha is instantly enthralled.
“I’m Chan, and I guess we’re mates now, huh?” The alpha chuckles and Felix does the same.
“I guess so,” the omega snorts, but nudges Chan teasingly. “This is actually insane, both of us getting completely scent drunk and fucking in the woods before we even knew each other’s names. This is completely unheard of.”
Or, after accidentally mating, Chan and Felix learn to navigate their new roles as leaders of the Bahng pack. As well as finding unconventional ways to control Chan's erratic temperament through Felix's slick.

Chan and Felix grew up together.
It came as no surprise to anyone in the Kingdom when Chan was appointed Royal Knight to the crowned prince Felix.
Always inseparable, always together, their bond is tested one night when the Kingdom is invaded while the King is away.
Chan, as the standing-in Knight-Commander has to make a quick decision and so he entrusts Felix’s protection to his close friend while he stays behind.

Felix stops walking right where they are, turning to Mingyu with a knowing look.
Mingyu shakes his head, dropping his hand to his side and speaking lowly to Felix so his voice doesn’t carry down the hall to Chan or the others. “He acts like he hasn’t known me since we were babes. Like he forgets that I’m married, too.”
“He is protective because of the babe,” Felix says quietly. “I’ll talk to him, though. He is being rather silly.”
“He’s possessive, not protective.” Mingyu corrects, raising a brow at Felix. “And it’s not the babe, at least not yet. It’s you.”

“I’ve decided to start making home movies,” He grins. “Now wave for the camera.” Felix orders and still confused, Chan does as he’s told.
“Why do we need home videos?”
“So we can document our lives.”
The alpha snorts at that. “As if our lives aren’t already documented for the entire world to see.”
Felix rolls his eyes. “I’m not talking about Stray Kids stuff, Channie. I’m talking about our personal lives. You know when the eight of us can just be ourselves. These are only for us to see.”
Chan is away on a business trip and their daughter is inconsolable with how much she misses him. Felix plays old home movies as a solution.

In that instant, he knew. With a certainty so fierce it left him breathless, Chan knew this boy—this fragile, freckled, fire-hearted omega—was his mate.

Still, the tension grew heavier with each passing season. The pack looked at him differently, the elders became more cautious. Whispers curled like smoke around a single word no one had yet dared say aloud in front of Felix.
