He doesn’t even feel ridiculous when he peruses through the many options, or even when he asks the clerk helping him if this ring is a good friendship ring option, or if it’s too much. (It wasn’t, by the way. Too much of a promise ring, apparently.)
He only really starts feeling ridiculous when he’s standing in front of the door to Donghyuck’s apartment, with a box in his pocket that suddenly weighs a ton, hesitating on whether he should input the code and go inside, or if he still has time to throw the rings out through the windows.

or: Chenle runs into a pitiful looking Jisung outside his restaurant on a rainy night and offers to cook dinner for him. It doesn't take much for Jisung to start occupying every corner of his mind following the encounter.
