Summary
Kinslayers, monsters, the people had whispered. Fëanorians, a curse.
Elwing spoke. “The Fëanorians are driven by greed. They have fallen to darkness, and they reach out for a light which they no longer deserve to behold.” This time hers was a tone of steel, and she looked out for a moment into the shadows of the approaching night, as if searching for some other light, beyond that which lay about her neck, to come as a herald out of its depths. No such thing came.

In which Elrond and Elros are taken from the havens of Sirion by the last remaining sons of Fëanor. Their childhood that follows, and the love that came to grow between them. For they did not seem so terrible to Elrond; one was tall and covered with scars, and his eyes were hollow with some distant sorrow, and yet sometimes he still smiled. The other was gentle, though when they first saw him he held a bloodstained sword in his hand. The other ached to sing.

Summary
Will raises his eyebrows. “Is that why you came in here?” he repeats, looking back down at the blue flannel. “To ask me about the weather in Lenora?”
“Kind of,” Mike says, and then, “well no, not about the weather specifically. I just– I wanted to talk to you.”
“Oh.” And Will looks a lot more surprised at this, actually, than the idea that Mike might have just wanted to come to his room to make small talk about unseasonably frigid California winters. “Okay. What about?”
“Anything.” The response is embarrassingly immediate. “Everything. I don’t know. I missed you.”
Hawkins, 1986. The world is ending, there are too many people in Mike's house, and to top it all off, he and Will have some things to talk through.

Summary
'I tried to write to you Will. I really tried.'
'I know.' Will agreed, something lying just beneath the surface.
Will looked up at him, just like he always did, but there was no trace of the usual kindness and empathy. Instead, his face was cold, eyes showing no feeling and mouth curved up into a smug grin.
'What do you mean you know?' Mike asked quickly, voice breaking.
'You can't hide things forever, Mike. You of all people should know that.'
OR
Mike becomes the next victim of Vecna's curse and has to confront the truth he's been hiding from. Only one song can save him.

Summary
"Lullabies do not make kinslayers. This he knows. And yet, it never stops the worry from curdling in his chest, the only constant of all the cradles he has sung beside. For the tune endures after all, and nothing empty can truly endure: every vacant hroä holds a fragment of the fëa that once forsook it. Can a song be washed of meaning? Is tenderness immune to ideology? Groping about blindly in the dark of their dreams, Elrond had always worried that he was not watering the crops for his children to harvest, but salting the earth before the seeds could be planted."
___________________________
At a parade celebrating the the founding of Imladris, Elrond spots an unforgettable face in the crowd, a face he’s not seen for millennia. To his delight and apprehension, it is indeed Maglor Fëanorian, who brings with him two things. First, a suspiciously tame monkey he insists isn’t a metaphor. Second, the groundshaking admission that Elwing and Eärendil’s sons were not named Elrond and Elros.Or, a love letter to Maglor, Elwing, and Elrond.
