Summary
The Jedi Order had a secret. While the main requirement for being a Jedi was being Force sensitive, there was a secondary trait that many Jedi shared, and would be grounds to consider even the weakest of candidates.
Many of the Jedi Order were beings long thought myths and legends. They couldn't entirely explain it. Sometimes, it was just that the blood lingered in their bloodline and came out strongly in them, possibly because of Force sensitivity. Sometimes they couldn't trace a source. And sometimes, sometimes they just were turned that way due to the unfortunate situations they found themselves in.
But they didn't tell anyone outside the Order about this. Why would they? The galaxy, as a whole, already had so many misconceptions about the Jedi. Even those who were grateful to the Jedi for their work had some small misunderstandings.
This is the story of how Jedi found people they could actually trust.
