Summary
Believe it or not, Archibald Snatcher was not always the villain of Cheesebridge. The end of the story may be inevitable, but there is still room to tell of an unlikely friendship. One-sided Archibald -> Herbert, shipping of Herbert with a character who shares a name with Marjorie from Here Be Monsters but whose personality is basically my own invention. Incorporates some other elements from Here Be Monsters, but really, that book was nowhere as good as the film.

Until he gets a letter from his sister asking to “catch up.”This fic will contain multiple flashbacks and switchs in POV to get the full story of why Velvet actually wants to reconnect with her brother, and examine their relationship and how it came to be.
