Summary
'Lance visiting shiro one day when hes sick and tired and lonely. Shiro notices lance is running a bit of a fever and has pretty bad congestion, so he makes lance some tea hunks mom gave him for colds. They sit on Shiros couch and just reminisce about the good ol days with some soft music playing in the background. Lance looks tired, older than he is, and shiro knows hes no better off. It gets late and lance drifts off, leaning his head on Shiros shoulder, who's to blame shiro for doing the same.' (anon)

Summary
Shiro is a tired, overworked cop in a small town where the only crime that really happens are arguing couples who belong on the Maury Show and teenagers stealing the ducks out of the parks pond. One day while on a smoke break he hears a cry for help and rushes to the scene only to rescue a charming Cuban named Lance from a..spider? The two hit it off but neither are ready to make the first move.
Lance is a struggling singer/college dropout trying to make it in the world. With a low paying part-time job at Nordstrom and scrambling for any gigs, his life isn't completely terrible? Ok it wasn't the best experience until he runs into the most handsome knight in shining armor. Who gets bonus points for slaying the terrible spider. Now if only he could make a move...

Shiro noticed before everyone else.
It hadn’t been obvious at first. Just little things that one wouldn’t pick up on unless they were looking.
Shiro, of course- was looking. Some days all he could do was look at Lance. He was mesmerized. When the other laughed it was like everything came into orbit and when he told a story, everyone in the vicinity couldn’t help being enraptured.
Shiro was never able to resist the Blue Paladin’s charms. He didn’t need to either.
It had been such tiny insignificant things, things that could be ignored. Shiro was guilting of doing just that. There’s just been so much suffering in his life that he actively chose his battles. The most important being the one against Zarkon and the Galra. Maybe if he really looked at his priorities he would have seen the signs for what they were. Red flags.
It started small.
