The carcass was in the room, now, making its presence known. Much too clean from the ocean for a stench to emanate from it, but it laid in the corners, caught your eye if you weren’t careful, conscious, about it being there. And if you knew to look for it, it only became clearer, more pronounced, harder to look away from.
He could have walked out, but something kept him in place. The morbid curiosity of putting your hands within the cleaned-out body to see what still remained, if anything. See what it would do, to him, if reanimated.

Summary
It sounds like a newborn child, screaming as it takes in the first breath of air into its fragile, fresh lungs. It is so empty, and it scrapes and scratches and claws at the hollow parts of his body. They grow larger. There are pieces missing, more and more disappearing.
But what he hates more is the feeling that remains after he stops playing. There is nothing in the absence of the crying and the clawing. The hollow grows greater until his body is nothing but the shell of a poorly taxidermied animal reeking of formaldehyde and moth balls.
The music wraps around him like a warm corpse and it feels right in ways he cannot explain.

Summary
Tiredness, that had to be it. The frustration of being ambushed over and over again for what felt like weeks but couldn’t be, the ceaseless fighting that was fun but so so tiring, and all that chasing leading up to this, some random moment of what he categorized as weakness, pulling none of its punches and making him comply against his better judgment.
The alley breathed around them like something heavy, like an animal, shadows and light warping the walls into shapes that were hard to look at.

The corner of Haruka’s mouth twisted.
“What are you getting at?”
He was quiet, still, for a moment. She saw his head make a movement, as if he was going to turn to face her properly, but he stopped himself partway. What she could see of his expression remained the same, unwavering.
The silence turned almost pressuring when he didn’t say anything for a while.
“I hope ya meant what ya said.”

Summary
He kept sitting on the floor in front of the mirror. Couldn’t tell if things were getting worse or if he was imagining it. It was slow enough to where noticing anything was difficult if not impossible, yet every time he checked another spot he could’ve sworn something had changed.
Whenever his eye found itself, he noticed how it had reddened, sclera now tainted by the infection to some degree.
Majima knew it should have made him wildly uncomfortable. And while likening himself to a zombie was more or less uncomfortable, still, the changes his body was going through didn’t really make him feel any particular way about it.
It wasn’t a novel thing, seeing his own body get slowly mutilated in front of him.

Summary
The "Everyone Lives" setting I started crafting upon finishing my rewatch of Diamond is Unbreakable. Heavy inspiration from Eyes of Heaven, several queer Joestars, focus on the Kujos as both Jotaro and Jolyne live in my head rent-free. Kakyoin wears sneakers. It's a good time.
Will likely never be marked as complete because I'd rather not limit myself like that.

Summary
There was something surreal, Saejima thought, almost nightmarish about seeing Majima again. Like this was some vulgar facsimile of his kyoudai, with the right voice and the right hair and mostly the right face, but not quite right enough to be fooled into believing that this was the same Majima Goro he once knew. His kyoudai was loud and radiant and, while not happy per se, he was violently alive. This man felt like smoke and ash. Like a childhood home that had burned down a long time ago.

Saejima doesn't pull his punch in his fight with Majima at Yoshida's batting centre, and feels a kind of way about it
