Summary
Eddie laughs, a rough drawl at the end that sounds suspiciously like a weak, scared squeak as he bites his lip, "So, like what, you're gonna carry my...my baby, Buckley?"
Buck rolls his eyes and corrects him, "our baby," and he adjusts his head onto a pillow. He curls an arm around Eddie and grabs his other wrist, pulling it towards his body. Eddie turns onto his side because what else would he do when Buck pulls him in? He runs his palm over his wrist to the back of his fingers, leading it into the bedsheets and pressing Eddie's palm against his abdomen. All squishy underneath Eddie's warm hands as he presses down, and his pinky slips underneath his boxers, just slightly. "I would—I'll probably carry them right here."

Summary
Eddie bobs his head at an intense pace, his eyes big as his palm grips Buck’s wrist, warm and unsteady, “Well, we already did everything, what’s stopping us from doing it again?” Maybe he catches the apprehensive look in Buck’s eyes, because he’s quickly adding, “No strings attached. Just two best friends—”
The alpha stops there, like he’s unsure what to say, so Buck finishes the statement for him, “—helping each other out?”
Eddie watches him, glassy-eyed and pink as he rubs the inside of Buck’s wrist glands. “Yeah, all platonic.”

Summary
Buck turns to him with a confused look, just as Eddie runs his fingers through the curls to smooth them out. Buck's head tilts into the touch, his eyes sheeny in the illuminated light of the TV screen as he feels the hair between his fingers. Eddie skips a breath, and they look at each other for just a second, then Buck turns back, and he swears his face is a little pinker than it was before.
Eddie pulls his hand back to his thighs, his fingers tingling from the touch. His hair is soft between his fingers, and Eddie wonders if he pulls his hand to his nose, would he smell his shampoo?

Summary
"...Buck?" Eddie's words come out as a whisper, a raspy whisper that gets no reaction; Buck stays curled around his body. Eddie's opening his eyes, but he only sees Buck's body on top of him, his head buried deeply into Eddie's neck. He lifts his right arm to wrap it around Buck's waist. He's sweltering, but not sweating, and his body is shivering. His left hand travels up to Buck's hair, carefully caressing the curls and shushing the low, discomforting noises that the omega makes.
Then, Eddie can smell the scent of vanilla and jasmine overtaking the room, filling up all the crevices of the air pockets, leaving Eddie unable to breathe. He can finally capture the undertones of the scent, the missing part of the puzzle he struggled to make sense of; he smells borderline fertile. It's easy to put it all together after, how Buck's skin is insanely hot, how grumpy he's been, the possessiveness, the cooking hyperfixations, and his need to please Eddie. Eddie's voice shakes lightly as he asks, "Buck... are you in heat?"
Buck doesn't reply; he doesn't even move.

Summary
Buck blushed. “I just mean..! Most guys when they see me, they think, ohh big bulky guy, he must be into manhandling smaller dudes and that’s just not it, you know?” He paused for a moment, checking Eddie’s reaction but he stayed still, so he continued, “I guess it’s my fault, maybe I’m too heavy, I don’t think I’ll find a guy who can mess me around any time soon.”
Eddie blinked, there was this line that he painted in his mind that strictly distinguished between the friendship he carefully cradled with Buck and the primal hunger he suddenly had to fuck Buck across the kitchen table. The alcohol had loosened both of their tongues, and neither of them even had too much of it. However now, Eddie was itching toward that line, and before he knew it, he was already crossing it and reaching towards that inner desire.

Summary
Charles lets his gaze wander through the apartment, taking in the details with that quiet curiosity Max knows too well. He stops in front of the trophies lined up on a shelf — the replicas of Max’s championships and the original, gleaming in the center. For a second, admiration flickers across Charles’s face. Max knows that look; he knows Charles wants that feeling someday, and part of him can’t blame him.
Charles turns, and Max sees a quiet smile on his face before it fades. “I, um… I received an invitation. From… The Invitation,” he starts, clearing his throat, and Max notices the nervous way his hands fidget.
“Ah, what an original name. Congratulations?” Max offers, barely containing a smirk.
Charles narrows his eyes, exasperation creeping in. “There’s a catch.”
“Do I even want to know?”
“They also invited you.”
Max’s expression morphs into an exaggerated look of shock, complete with wide eyes and raised brows. “Wow, what a shame, then.”
OR: Max and Charles are invited to appear together on a popular podcast. They have a lot to talk about and a lot of tension building up.

The blade lets up on Eddie's throat.
“Anything?”

But Buck's gaze is fixed on Petey. He’s deliberately avoiding looking in Eddie’s direction. Because he knows if he does, he’ll have to betray him.
“Anything,” Buck says. “Please.”

Summary
Why is he thinking about Divisadero Street? Daniel can barely afford the $60 rent he has now, and if his landlord hadn’t fried his brain at Woodstock, he would’ve raised the rent twice already. Can’t be because of drugs, either. No reason for him to go anywhere except his own neighborhood for that.
Ice pools in Daniel’s gut.
He can see the place now. Real post-divorce, bail-bondsman vibe. Don’t be afraid. Magnetic tape unspooled from a cassette and tangled around thin dark fingers. Is this what makes you fascinating? Face pressed into the cheap couch; teeth digging into the soft flesh between his neck and his shoulder; an apology that follows only a second later that splatters Daniel’s own blood over his broken skin. The prize for Screw-Up of the Century surely goes to Daniel Molloy, who couldn’t just let a regular drug habit be what imploded his entire life. Mated, knocked up, and apparently widowed in under one week, with only blurry memories to account for it.

Summary
It wasn't fascinating, the way the boy didn't know whether to lean into the touch or away from it, confused by the comfort and the pain it offered in equal measures. It wasn't. Armand could do the same thing — did do the same thing, whenever Louis deigned to touch him at all — and Louis still thought he was boring. It couldn't be this that had captivated him.
But that didn't mean it wasn't fun.
