Summary
Tommy recounts everything he knows of the fae as he trudges through the forest, bare feet manoeuvring around every leaf and branch stuck in his path. A soft breeze blows by him, brushing his cheeks and sending a chill up his spine. He’s been walking a while, tiredness stirring inside of him, and the weight of the sack on his shoulders starts to feel heavier.
It isn’t uncommon for villages to sacrifice children to the fae in return for the promise that no harm shall come to their kind, but Tommy never expected to be one of them. Neither did he expect to be let go with so little fight.
Tommy hears something flicker behind him, much like a butterfly's wings.
He increases his pace.
“Now, now,” a voice croons from behind him. “Where are you running off to, little one?”
Tommy freezes.
Tommy as a sacrifice, and Wilbur as the fae receiving him.

Summary
Tommy's wings fluff up as Wilbur brushes his hand over, and he hisses at the ache it causes.
Wilbur's touch was like a bucket of ice to Tommy's burning skin. Each stroke is slow and gentle, erasing the knots of tension that had settled in his wings for so long. If Tommy had known Wilbur would be so gentle, he would’ve never waited so long to ask him. The pain in his wings slowly begins to ease as Wilbur's fingers dance around, smoothing out ruffled feathers.
Wilbur’s touch is so comforting, a gentle weight on his wings easing the aches and dull throbs. Tommy felt as if nothing else existed, as if it were only them in this moment. Tommy could hear Wilbur’s gentle hum as he worked the knots and tangles within his wings, a low sound that vibrated Wilbur’s chest and made his heart soar.
Wilbur runs his hand through Tommy’s flight feathers, taking extra care with the area. His fingers gently brush over each feather, swiping away bits of dirt and smoothing out broken feathers. The troubled expression on Tommy’s face settles, and his eyes flutter closed as he melts into the feeling of being taken care of and loved.

Summary
Tommy doesn’t know what it’s like to be loved.
He’s seen it before: mothers kiss their kids’ foreheads, siblings hug, and friends fondly tease each other. He’s felt love for others — had the urge to wrap them up and whisper ‘I love you’s until the sun rose. He knows what it feels like to love and knows what it is.
The dictionary definition has engraved itself into his memory — inescapable and unforgettable. According to Oxford Languages, love is “an intense feeling of deep affection.”
No one has loved Tommy before, though.
No matter the sleepless nights wishing — no matter the mornings wondering — no matter how he ponders, no one loves Tommy. And why would they?

Summary
The rise and fall of Wilbur’s chest is a feeling Tommy cherishes. He shifts slightly, allowing his head to rest on the beat of Wilbur’s heart. An arm; slumped across his shoulder, faintly wrapping around his torso to hold him close. Tommy’s head elevates with each breath Wilbur takes and falls as he exhales. The man’s long asleep, and it’s just Tommy, basking in the comfort of the fluffy blanket that falls over them and the arm barely wrapped around his side.
Wilbur rolls over, tugging Tommy closer to his chest. Tommy freezes, his body pressing against Wilbur’s — skin pressing his. He smooshes his cheek against Wilbur’s stomach, the steady pattern of breathing — the ups and downs of his breath — securing Tommy in his warm hold.
“Wil,” Tommy says, peeking at Wilbur with wide blue eyes. He pokes Wilbur in the side to wake him up, gentle enough not to hurt him. In return, Tommy earns sleepy blinks down at him, half-lidded eyes greeting the boy. Wilbur awakens with confusion, eyebrows furrowing, until he catches sight of the weight against his chest, and his lips curl into a soft smile.
“Mornin’, Toms,” he murmurs, a sleepy smile on his lips.
Tommy and Wilbur cuddle.

Summary
One, he can give Wilbur the drink — conform to him as he conformed to his parents — and watch the man slip away to the dark pool of dread that is alcohol. He can risk Wilbur being a shitty drunk; can risk Wilbur hitting or yelling at Tommy with his carefully crafted words. Even worse, he could be forced into taking a drink himself.
Two, he can say no. He can avoid giving Wilbur a drink and steer him to some water. Yet, he can’t help but recall his time with the Evensons; when he lived with them, they were always sweet until they were drunk. Then, they needed Tommy to obey every order or else it’d be 5 lashes. The worst part was that they didn’t even remember what they did in the morning, so his social worker couldn’t find anything in their investigation. Tommy really doesn’t want to be hit again.
Three, he can say no and call Phil. He would tell Phil about the vodka in his kitchen, and shove water down Wilbur’s throat. But — that could have the worst consequences. Consequences he shivers to even think about.
So, Tommy freezes instead.
Hurt/comfort, with Tommy as a foster kid and Wilbur as the drunk.

Homecoming AU.
Ben and May divorced before Peter’s parents died, so when Ben is murdered Peter goes into foster care. It takes just a tiny taste of superpowers for Peter to decide he doesn’t want to put up with his horrible foster father anymore—the streets are infinitely more appealing. All he wants is to be Spider-Man anyway.
So he leaves.
Simple.
Simple, that is, until Iron Man needs Spider-Man’s help. Peter isn’t about to turn down an opportunity to fight alongside Tony Freaking Stark, but he also isn’t going to let his hero know that his recruit is a fifteen-year-old homeless dropout. So they strike a deal. Peter will help Tony. In return, the mask stays on.
And that’s when things get complicated.

Summary
They give the humans whatever they desired, the humans completed various tasks for them, and then they went their separate ways.
And if the humans failed to complete their half? Well, it was right there in the contract!
They would be their next meal!
Why act so shocked and scared when they came to collect? They knew the risks. They knew the consequences of failure and yet shook their hands anyway.
Really, it was quite frustrating. No matter, they had a meal waiting for them now. Begging would do nothing to appease their appetite.
“Mommy? Daddy?”
The room froze, everything going silent.
Or, Phil and Techno find a child and remember their lonely friend, Wilbur. The boy doesn't have proper parents, anyway. Why not kill two birds with one stone?
Or or, Tommy gets (consensually) adopted by a cryptid in a backrooms(ish) au!

"I m— messed up." Tommy manages through a hiccup. "I d— deserve it."
"No, no, you don't. Tommy, you're exhausted. You can barely stand." Techno says.
"But I—"
"Tommy, you're done." Techno says. "You did it. You put yourself through hell, and now you're done. You can stop now, okay? You're done."
Or, in which Tommy sometimes finds himself caught up in his past, and when he accidentally upsets Wilbur, he ends up using his practice, as a punishment.

"You missed a spot," a voice spoke up above his music. It was only eight in the fucking morning and Tommy, if you hadn’t gathered it yet, was not a morning person. So whichever little bitch of a guard was trying to comment on his work was about to severely regret it.
Tommy squared his shoulders, pulled out an earbud and whipped around. "Excuse you, you fucki—" He stopped. There was no guard there. The hall was empty. Instead, he found himself staring into a cell.
Tommy didn't need to read the plaque next to the cell to know who those brown eyes belonged to. Fucking Siren.

Also known as the prison that holds the most powerful supervillains of the last decades, including Siren, the Blade and even Zephyrus. “Tommy,” the Man-with-the-pale-mask breathes out. “You can speak, can’t you?” Tommy stops. His teeth ache and his arms burn, but he can’t help but stop at the sound of his own name. The other Man, the one with the gun, has empty eyes. He’s silent as he holds Tommy against the ground, but his grip shifts at the question.
Tommy has heard the stories. He knows who they are: the Last Men. Sam taught him well.
