Vincent stumbled back, eyes wide in a painfully pathetic display of emotion. It was a far cry from his persona of a slightly ruffled, irritated businessman. It was awful, how easily he let his composure shatter. Vincent narrowed his eyes. “How did you know that?”
Vox grinned sharply. “I have my ways, Vincent. You're wondering how you got here – of course you are! Well, you can call me… Vox.”
“Vox?” Vincent echoed. “Voice? How very egocentric.”
He smiled, as if satisfied with Vox's audacity. “I like your type of man. Pray tell, why have you kidnapped me?”

His – Cinder's expression lit up. “You'd fit right in,” he laughed. “But usually we go for more serious crimes.”

It is uncharacteristic of Dazai to seek out the source of his discomfort so easily – his coworkers would certainly call him insane. But this was Chuuya he was thinking about, and Chuuya was a special case. He thinks he might always end up next to Chuuya. No, Chuuya is the one who would always end up next to me, he humours. Like a loyal pet dog.
