The mountains were shining white in the sun and covered in a thick coat of snow, the air sharper than she’d imagined. But the waterfalls, they were even more magical in person. Something inside of her seemed to click when she arrived, a deep sense of calm settling in her soul.

She had to remind herself, actively, waking up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat with a frightful whimper or a wanting name on her lips, that Hawkins was some three thousand miles away. That no one is looking for a girl named Eleanor Iverson in Hella, Iceland.

A week before Adrien Agreste’s 17th birthday, his mother, Emilie, disappears. It's a week and a half before his father, Gabriel, says a word to him, before his father leaves his office, before his father even looks him in the eye.
Adrien’s birthday goes by without any word from either of his parents. At Crystal Cove High, no one except for Chloé knows that Adrien's mom has gone missing. Chloé is the only one who gets him a gift for his birthday.
It is a week after Adrien's turned 17 and a week after his mother has disappeared when he finds the note she left.

“Stay still or I’ll fucking blow your head off.” Soobin hissed through gritted teeth, ready to pull the trigger at any moment.
The person beneath him flinched, hands raised in submission. “W-wait, N-no! Please!” the voice was highpitched, almost desperate. “I-I’m not a—I'm alive!”
Soobin’s gaze flickered to the stranger's face eyes scrutinizing when the person turned his head towards Soobin.
A man. Looking barely twenty. His face was covered in dirt and streaks of blood, his clothes tattered and torn, but behind the glasses he worn, his eyes... dark brown, wide with fear. Soobin studied his face carefully, looking for any signs of anything abnormal—the pale, dead eyes, the blank stare—nothing. His eyes were surely someone that of alive that is for sure. His face was still intact, Soobin trailed his eyes on the man’s body. No bite, scars or anything, few scrapes. No signs of pus.
Soobin didn’t lower the gun though. He couldn’t afford to take chances. He leaned closer, pressing the barrel harder against the stranger’s temple. “Why are ya’ following me?” Soobin’s voice was cold, emotionless.

Soobin con el entrecejo fruncido de confusión se inclinó un poco para ver su espejo. Su expresión cambio a total sorpresa cuando vio lo que había en él. Si bien su propia imagen seguía ahí, el resto, en lugar de reflejar la habitación mostraba un bosque purpura en medio de la noche, con un camino de hojas amarillas que brillaban levemente, y unas cuantas amapolas que se encontraban dispersas entre hierba morada.
¿Cómo era eso posible?

Strangely it was Jonathan that noticed first months ago, by watching from a distance when picking up Will, or dropping him off. Noticing the small concealed flinches, or tense shoulders whenever someone was too close, too loud, had a hand held too high.
Will was next, likely due to Jonathan probing him, questioning about who the red headed girl that was now hanging around with them was.
She was truly thankful to them both now.
