Tav’s heart beats faster. He leans into Astarion’s hand–still framing his cheek–and asks, “What exactly would you want to do? Just let him watch?”
Astarion and Tav test the boundaries of their ever-changing relationship. Rolan, nursing the quiet aftermath of a hopeless crush on both of them, hardly knows what to do when his wildest fantasies seem poised to become reality. None of his books prepared him for this.

Rolan does not have a crush on Tav. Or Tav’s creepy, possessive vampire lover. He absolutely doesn’t get off to fantasies of a certain tall, broad-shouldered paladin taking him like one of the dominant love interests from Rolan’s favorite smutty literature. That would be ridiculous and pathetic and Rolan, future apprentice to an archmage, is neither of those things.
On the other hand… there isn't much to do on the way to Baldur's Gate from the shadow-cursed lands, and Rolan's been more than a little pent up.

Summary

Two broken stars in a decaying orbit, passing closer and closer together until the inevitable, devastating collision.
Or, Tav is fucked up and down bad for Astarion, who doesn't quite see the appeal (but he's getting there). Sexual frustration, sloppy handjobs, a heavy dose of masochism, and way too many failed Insight checks ahead. Tav falls first, Astarion falls harder (eventually).
Or, a tragic-but-hopeful romance told through a series of incredibly ill-advised sexual encounters.
If you want to read a story where Astarion is sweet from the start and Tav is here to fix him, this isn't the one. If you want to read about two terribly broken men spending a good long while making each other worse before they make each other better, this might be for you. If you thought the in-game romance was a little too easy and it should have been ten times more painful and difficult to convince Astarion he's worthy of love, this is definitely for you.
Set during the canonical events of Baldur's Gate 3.
