It takes Vash five whole minutes to knock on the door, and as soon as it opens, one thing becomes apparently clear.

“T-that’s me!” Vash manages.

“I'll buy you one drink.” A feeble attempt at playing along. Vash holds one finger up with his free hand to really sell it, but his ataxic speech has betrayed him for sure.
“Deal. You sure you're alright, Needle-Noggin?”
[Vash sustains an injury that Wolfwood thinks even a plant like him might not survive.]

Summary
Wolfwood had to question to himself why he and Vash were so comfortable being more affectionate with each other. Perhaps it was companionship; a feeling of solace that they did not need to give voice to, but that they could both understand. Even though Wolfwood had not been aware of it before, and was still hesitant to confront. Yet he has slowly begun to accept that no matter how much he tried, he could not pull away, for he was like metal and Vash was like a magnet.

Summary
He takes him in with the dusk, observing him like art, because this is the time of day he paints a picture most stunning. Because it’s the sunset that yields to compliment Kaoru, and oh—it’s dawning on him that it’s his first decent view of Kaoru without his cast, without any gauze or bandages. The only tokens of memento he wears from that incident are the fresh marks reluctant to fade from his skin.
Below him, the waves lap the pier in a loud greeting, acknowledging Kaoru’s power as though he is some entity of the sea, and if it were so, he could use his siren’s song to pull him under the seafoam. And Kojiro wouldn’t resist.
Kojiro finds Kaoru bathed in twilight, enjoying a little taste of freedom after his recovery. Despite having tended to him through the ordeal, the new routine proves hard to break, and Kojiro wants to take him home to take care of him.
After weeks of neglecting more lascivious needs, they yield to suppressed desires and emotions.
