Summary
There are many forms of magic not easily explained. It was something Hermione had learned on her own when she was first made aware of the Wizarding World. People, or should she say Wix, were guilty of oversimplifying, excluding, or brushing right past valuable information that could make all the difference to someone like Hermione—a muggleborn.
It’s why she liked books so much. They were an abundance of information, all very useful things, things no one had ever bothered explaining to her about the magical world.
But no book could have prepared her for what happened on her trip to the ocean with her parents the summer before her sixth year. She hadn’t even thought to read about halfbloods other than werewolves. No one ever mentioned there being other kinds, let alone that creature magic could lay dormant in a bloodline for centuries.
But it could and there were. And she knew now. Because she was one.
