If someone had asked him about the Doctor he had grown so close to, and why he allowed him to rummage around in his intestines- or why he allowed the odd man to cling to him like a leech, Misha would tell them to quit sticking their nose in his business. Unfortunately for him, though, living in a smaller-than-desirable-for-housing-nine-people compound made it easy for things to be noticed, and gossip to be spread.

Riley watched silently as their house burned, firefighters hosing down as much of it as possible, and the two covered bodies laying in front of it, with more people shaking their head, murmuring well wishes and condolences.
It was heaven and hell, an impossible low and a never ending high.
Freedom and yet even more trapped than they were before.
This story follows Pyro as they navigate the world as it is, and what they did when they came across a hearth made by the misfits and the freaks of the world.
