James watches the other people in the tube as Sleepy-boy’s soft breaths sound in his ear. He tries not to stare, because this is still just a stranger and he doesn’t want him to be uncomfortable, but- he’s very pretty, okay?
His lashes flutter against his snow-white cheeks, only the faintest blush visible on them, his nose is dusted with freckles, his dark curls fall onto his forehead and his soft-looking lips part with his quiet little snores.
He’s absolutely lovely.
OR: James is just going through his day when he meets a very tired looking and also very pretty boy on public transport and decides to play knight in shining armour

Sirius’s throat tightened. He didn’t trust his voice, so he just nodded, the movement barely more than a dip of his head. Remus blinked blearily up at him, his dark eyes catching just a sliver of light.
He didn’t ask why.
He never did.
Instead, without another word, he shifted. Scooted back. Pulled the blanket away on one side, making space the way he always did when Sirius needed it, needed him.

Then James Potter shows up: loud, glittery, guitar-playing, singing James and ruins everything by being annoyingly kind, weirdly hot, and completely unfazed by the cat trying to kill him.
One shattered bowl later, Regulus is back in his old punk band, internet-famous, and somehow dating the human equivalent of a sunrise. By accident.
He hates it. He loves it. He’s coping badly.
