It became methodical, most of the cars had the same problem, the same parts missing or in need of replacing and he almost didn’t hear the car arrive until the door was slammed shut. He jumped, head almost hitting the hood to see an Aglionby boy – very obvious – walking around to the passenger side of a shark-like BMW. He looked angry and sharp, surprisingly matching his car, buzzcut hair, in black jeans, black combat boots and a black jumper with Aglionby splattered across the front. Joe went to shout that they were closed when he turned to grab something off the seat of his car and Joe saw that PARRISH was across the back of his jumper in large block letters and that what he had grabbed looked a lot like a Chinese takeaway.
Joe glanced over at Boyd who just nodded at the boy as he walked into the garage The boy nodded back, still not smiling.
“Parrish,” He announced but Adam didn’t slide out from the car.
“Lynch.” The boy – Lynch – sat on the edge of the desk next to the car Adam was working on, popping his food open, legs crossed. “I haven’t got the cash for a Chinese.”
“Who the fuck said it was for you?”
