Summary
Every few decades, somebody starts a rumor that the Wolf is coming. It's an old, familiar cry. Snow remembers hearing it from her father's castle, perched at the edge of the Black Forest. "The Wolf is coming, the Wolf is coming!"
Most of the time, the peasants in the villages around the castle saw a shaggy dog prowling through the woods, or maybe a wolf that was a little bigger than average. Snow doesn't think that the Big Bad Wolf ever actually came to her father's lands. Hunting in open field wasn't his style. But she remembers rushing to her window, searching the horizon eagerly, trying to catch a glimpse of the fabled monster.
The Wolf never came.
(or, after failing to find the Big Bad Wolf in 1638, Snow White is the Sheriff of Fabletown. It's a great job, really. Good hours, good pay, lots of community appreciation. This is definitely what Snow wanted to do with her life. Definitely.)

Summary
"I find," said Hannibal, "that you are a most strange and wonderful creature, Mister Graham, for all you hide behind your manners and your reputation."
"And you," Will retorted, "are the most persistent man I have ever met. Tell me, Doctor Lecter, what do you see when you look at me? Something broken to fix? Some creature to tame? Some street rat from the coast, trying to pretend he belongs in high society?"
"Tame you?" Hannibal seemed oblivious to Will's last question, affection and pride and desire playing out behind his eyes. "Never."

Though, really, what’s he supposed to say? “Darlings, when I was born Henry the Sixth was the King of England and dying like a normal human keeps slipping my mind?”
(or, napoleon solo can't die. this tends to complicate relationships.)

Summary
Aksinya settled when Illya was thirteen, neither early nor late, and this is the only reason he was allowed into Special Forces and not abandoned to the winter, or worse.
A desert cat dæmon is unusual in Western Siberia, but Illya and Aksinya are clever and faithful and strong enough that no one says anything to their faces. The psychologists who vet them after every few missions argue that perhaps it is understandable; Illya's childhood was so disturbed, they say, that of course his dæmon chose an unusual shape; the country did not do enough to reassure a young Illya Kuryakin that as long as he was diligent and useful to his superiors, he would always have a place among them. Aksinya's shape is not an early indication of a traitorous heart, merely a weak one.
(or his dark materials fusion fic. illya kuryakin is a man with a foreigner's daemon, gaby teller gets shit done, and solo is solo, which is to say weird and half-witch. oh, and udo teller is trying to break between worlds despite dr. lyra silvertongue's express warnings not to. those crazy fascists, right?)

Summary
Matt Murdock is still the Kingpin's right-hand man, even if lately he's finding his way to Foggy's bed more nights than not. But sleeping with an assassin is hardly the way to get a good night's rest, especially with a new vigilante in town and Frank Castle out for blood. Foggy's walking a tightrope these days, and he doesn't have Spider-Woman's balance.

Summary
Being a member of an international taskforce has its drawbacks, especially when relationships are involved. For example, one of you might get scheduled to an overseas location for an extended amount of time, while the other is stuck doing paperwork back at home base. Distance isn’t a major obstacle to Hanzo or McCree, but it definitely comes with its own share of challenges.

Summary
It's March of 1963 and Charles Xavier's life seems to be falling into place. Sebastian Shaw is dead and he, Erik, Moira, and their team and young pupils are well on their way to opening their mutant school for fall enrollment.
Everything would be perfect if it wasn't for the childhood nightmares that Charles keeps accidentally projecting to the house, the odd dreams that leave him sleepwalking through corridors that haven't been used in decades, and the children's insistence that the house is haunted by a ghost that roams the halls at night. Erik thinks Charles is seeing things, Moira is afraid that the strange occurrences have something to do with the mysterious man trying to woo her, and Charles just wants proof that it's not all in his head.
