She dropped her commuter bag onto the bench by the front door and stared at Steve and his stupid smile that grew into a muppet grin. A grin that she longed to punch off his face…
“You?” she deadpanned. Trying desperately to act nonchalant as she pulled off her sensible yet professional shoes and placed them beneath the bench, hoping that she wasn’t the one that was doomed in this narrative.
“No, I don’t have a date,” Steve laughed and pointed at Chrissy with both index fingers, “But you do.”
“What!?”
“You’ve got a blind date, baby!” Robin appeared out of nowhere with her mouth gaping open like Statler while she and Waldorf laughed maniacally.
...Or the wonder twins set Chrissy up on a blind date and she runs into Eddie instead.

“She ain’t here,” Eddie replied, leaning casually on the door jamb. Blocking her entrance.
“Oh. Well, um. I can–– I can wait? We’re supposed to––”
A sudden slap against the storm door made Chrissy flinch, eyes widening as she took an unconscious step back. Eddie leaned toward her, every inch of him going from relaxed to menacing in an instant. As though she’d said something unforgivably rude.
“She ain’t here,” Eddie repeated, his voice harder. Angry, she realized. Angry with her. What had she done? Why was he so mad at her? “So why don’t you scurry on back to your cushy little life, princess?”

Her nose wrinkles. Cute as hell, honestly. “Yeah, I can smell it from here.”
“First-timer.” Eddie winks, makes her laugh again. “Alright, get over here, come on.”

No, what is causing her to gnaw on her thumbnail is the simple fact that she’ll have to speak to Eddie Munson. That he will speak to her.
Like an actual conversation and not the awkward smile that she gave him earlier today or how she typically averts her gaze to look anywhere but at him when he’s near her.
Having a crush is hard work, Chrissy thinks to herself.
One must never reveal that they have the crush to said individual and at the same time the only thing she wants to do is try to find ways to be as close to Eddie as possible.

Babe!” The guy’s head swivels towards her, the conversation dying from his lips, and his eyes do a confused look around before his brain must catch on. His eyes narrow on the men following behind her. “There you are! I’ve been looking for you!” Her feet nearly trip over themselves as she steps off the sidewalk, onto the wet street, dodging a car and scurrying over as quick as possible.

Mike found and brought home a superhero that he hid in his basement. Chrissy’s younger brother, Connor, found and brought home an alien, and Chrissy doesn’t know what to do with him. She should probably stop crushing on him, to start, though.
“Chrissy! This is the alien I was telling you about!” Connor was practically beaming at her, skipping around the table to reach out and grab at her arm, shaking it violently in his enthusiasm. “He crash-landed his spaceship in the forest near the Hawkins Lab!”
“Conn…” Chrissy trailed off, tearing her eyes from the man and his wild, curly hair, and bright brown eyes as he watched her cheerfully. She tried to not let her eyes dip or linger on the expansive amount of tattoos on the so-called alien’s body - his arms, his chest. Thank God everything else was hidden by the kitchen table. “Aliens don’t exist--”
The hand that had been dipping into the cereal box unclenched, and he gave a wave with it; his smile was toothy and wide and there were bits of cereal stuck to his white teeth. He opened his mouth and a string of melodic chirps, chords, and whistles emerged.
Chrissy stared.
Okay - so maybe aliens did exist.

She stands tall and loud whispers, “Could you please be quiet? You’re interrupting the movie…”
“Previews.”
“What?”
“We’re interrupting the previews,” His smile gets teeth, and she feels that flutter again. “The show hasn’t started yet.”
This started out as a one-shot where Chrissy gets tasked with asking Mr. Lord-of-Hell to be quiet during the movie previews, but it quickly got out of hand.
