    Summary

When two stars meet out in space, they either merge together to form something bigger, something new, or shatter into an infinity worth of shiny stardust.

Atsumu figures out early on that he and Sakusa were just like that, two stars colliding headfirst into each other in an ever-expanding universe. He’s still waiting to see if they’re about to become better—or burn out in supernova together.

this is my favourite fic of all time. in late 2022/early 2023 i printed out and bookbinded this fic because i loved it sm and i still do, this fic changed my life genuinely, thank you so much starstrikes for writing this, it is absolutely beautiful and heartbreaking and hopeful and so many other adjectives, i can’t find the words to describe how incredible this is.

i’ll try not to spoil the fic but:
the social media stuff is so fun, and the references you made to real artists scratches my brain soo well.
the way idols are portrayed here – overwork and the fierce competition but loving performing so much that you’d do anything for it. it’s so moving, and such an amazing parallel to the boys’ passion for volleyball in canon
the writing is also so so good, all the emotion that is stuffed into every metaphor aaahhhh
most importantly, how atsumu grows and dreams and learns to love… this may not be a tragedy piece but i sobbed. reading this fic was like growing alongside him and loving all the same things that he does. i felt it so deeply and it’s unforgettable.

i read this almost 2 years ago and i still come back to it every once in a while, this fic really stuck with me, it rattles around in my head constantly and i do really think that it’s changed my life a little.
i’m honoured to be able to read it and also have a handmade copy of it that accompanies me my bookshelf. thank you.
